Yes, I too thought the school kids looked too old .... had to remind myself that this was an American film....suspend all educated thought....do not think about the plot. Did recognise the 'dad' from the tv series when he got his hair cut. Which tv thing did the female love intest come from? Looks familiar. There will be more

Re: I am Number Four
I saw this tonight at Covent Garden too and agree that there were quite a few rude people around today - the phone light thing was really annoying and there was constant seat moving going on too! But I am in quite an irritable mood today, so perhaps I'm just being a tad too sensitive!
Anyway, on to the movie - I purposely avoided this thread because I didn't want to go in with any expectations but I honestly loved it! It's not pretending to be anything it's not, which is a very teenage alien shoot-em-up (lol is there such a thing? There is now!) that isn't taking itself too seriously. I think quite a lot of the cracks were quite tongue in cheek and personally I loved the soundtrack. But that could be because I just love all the songs played anyway.
I agree about it being annoying, the way the so blatantly kept it so open-ended, but so many movies seem to be made with the intention of sequels nowadays, it was quite nice to see no pretence about it in this one.
Finally, I think the dog definitely stole the show! I really enjoyed this movie and I think many others would as well, as long as you don't take it seriously whatsoever!

Saw this at a nearly full Southampton Odeon and absolutely loved it from start to finish. The story line was great and well acted and the stunt scenes were brilliant. I also loved the dog and the film left me with wanting more so fingers crossed theres another to come.

Re: I am Number Four
I saw this last night in Norwich and really enjoyed it. I went into the screening knowing nothing about the film and it had me gripped from the start.
We arrived just after 6pm and the Orange ad was playing, which we thought was a bit strange. We saw down in our seats and the film began!!
It played for 10 mins then they realised they'd made a mistake and stopped it! Lots of people started walking in after that and they started it again at the proper time of half 6!

The screening last night in Bristol was at Showcase Avonmeads..... so I went with a friend laughing telling her that the last time I'd gone to see a freebie at this cinema they'd got the address wrong on the ticket & it was actually showing at Showcase Cinema De Lux, about 4 miles away..... only to find deja vu!!!!! Tickets were wrong it was again showing at cinema de lux......... grrr!
Anyway saw film, it started at 7 to give people the chance to chase across the city..... I liked it, very entertaining.... cinema was only about half full so not everyone had been able to make the journey, which is a shame.

This old lady thoroughly enjoyed the film. Only compliant Showcase Birmingham kept about seventy of us queueing the foyer until 6.30 when the film was due to start at 6.30. No explaination from staff when I asked why the screening was late, was told the previous film had over run.
Didn't quite understand how a film could over run. Finally film started at 6.45.
Apart from enjoying the film, I wish I could throw a ball like number 4, it would have been great to aim one at people using mobiles during the film. Think I might have to put some practise in.
8/10 for film 0/10 for the rest.

I Am Number Four
I surprisingly liked this film as well. It was incredibly obvious and the dog stole the show in terms of acting, however I thought it was a easy going enjoyable experience. I think it would be more appropriate for pre-teens such as my niece who loved it. I also feel that It seems more suitable to be a tv series.
