Yes thank you, this has been posted several times including on Free Films now, and no it's not case sensitive.

Re: Rio
Apologies for posting that additional tickets and an additional venue were available in the free films section. I did not realise until Hdaniel pm to explain that this should not have been done, but instead I should have posted in this section. I have asked the moderator to remove my post.
Currently there are extra tickets on the sky site for all venues and Leceister Square, London has been added as an extra venue.

You have to be a sky customer to get the tickets, as the ticket booking site recognises if your email is the one registered against the sky account. It is a maximum of 4 tickets per sky customer and the site says it is a gala event, which includes free popcorn. Also am hoping it will have other activities for the kids, as they have done at screenings where they have face painting, photo opportunities, balloon modeling etc.
I hope that you manage to get a ticket.

Re: Rio
Saw this at the Empire this morning. Not sure what the fun in the foyer entailed as I sped through the crowds pretty quickly. The cinema was full of kids, with a band drumming at the front beforehand and dancers getting kids up to dance. I'm sure the hungover adults loved that. Stupid decision to show the Orange ad before though. God that ad is annoying.
Anyway on to the film itself. I thought it was really enjoyable. The story is slight and functional but the script is fun.
The animation is glorious and far better than in Ice Age (also by Blue Sky animation), though the bright colours are undeniably muted due to the 3D. I'd recommend 2D if you're not going to the previews. The 3D itself is okay on the whole and fairly effective in the more energetic scenes. Like the hang-glider scene or one where the human characters are riding a motorbike through the favelas.
The voice work is good. Jesse Eisenberg doing his nervous schtick in animated form is just as charming as it is in live-action. Anne Hathaway is fine but I thought it was a bit odd that they got an American actress to do a Brazilian bird. Will.i.am, Jamie Foxx and Tracy Morgan are okay in smaller roles. It's a shame that Jane Lynch and Wanda Sykes are wasted as a pair of Canada Geese. Best of all though is Jemaine Clement as the baddie, a cockatoo called Nigel. Flight of the Conchords fans will be pleased to know that he even co-wrote his own song called Pretty Bird (sample lyric "Like an abandoned school, I have no principles/principals"). He's also responsible for my favourite line of the entire movie ("I'm not interested in your nicked knick-knacks. Your burgled baubles bore me").
On the whole Rio is a colourful, energetic and fun movie that though lacking in the depth of Pixar is entertaining enough in it's own right. And considering it's set in Rio at Carnivale, I'm willing to forgive them the amount of dancing animal/birds scenes they have.
Here's a link to the Jemaine Clement song (don't click if you'd rather wait to see it in the film itself):

Re: Rio
Was there a screening today too? Mine's for next Sunday! You gave me a fright, I had to check my ticket in case I had a pair of cross cheeky monkeys next week (not mine).kevinknapman wrote:Saw this at the Empire this morning. Re: Rio
Yes today's screening was a multimedia (press) screening, there were some comps for today's screening
