Beate - what's that memory clinic you mentioned the other day? Gotta take grandma there very soon before she starts getting her screenings mixed up next.

Did anyone catch Diane Kruger on The Graham Northon show? The clip they showed has really whetted my appetite!

If anyone wants to watch it, the Unknown clip is about 12 minutes in.

Just to let folks know that we might be early as it only starts at 7pm but there is no way on God's earth I can keep 20 seats (maybe 2 or 4 but that's it and they will be given to the first folks arriving) so if you want a good seat please be in time yourself. It should be a FMUKers reunion tonight.

It was a FMUKers fest tonight and it was great to meet a few new faces (funthing29, denichka and Kaybeelon but please say hi again next time as I am terrible with faces). We formed a queue that snaked around the Eagle screening queue and OH got quite a few people to queue jump, which, for the record, I didn't approve of, especially as there was plenty of space in the screening room as it never got a 100% full. I'd say the last three rows were predominantly FMUK'd, with a few scattered towards the front.

Reports coming in from my fellow viewers aren't all that favourable but I admit unashamedly that I enjoyed the film very much. I love Liam Neeson in whichever role he is playing, I loved seeing Berlin and hearing German, and I got so hungry when he was having a Currywurst at that sausage stand! The acting was excellent, especially from the outstanding Bruno Ganz of Downfall fame (he was Herr Juergen), the lovely Sebastian Koch from The Lives of Others and Diane Kruger who sported a great Balkan accent. (I don't think much of January Jones though.) I know that the story was far-fetched but the action was exciting and I didn't guess the final twist so it was keeping me entertained nicely.
