Suppose this is technically a free day out via various newspaper spends!

The Sun is running the Alton Towers promotion for the next 11 days in the newspaper, offering a potential £76 saving if readers collect seven differently numbered coupons.

The promotional push comes ahead of the launch of the park's new rollercoaster Th13teen, which promises to plunge riders into "the gruelling Dark Forest".

Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Readers will be able to use them at any time until the park closes for the season in November.

Pit Stop Challenge at Whiteleys

On your marks, get set, GO!!

A day of Formula 1 challenges, iconic supercars, and racing celebrities hit Bayswater for ONE DAY ONLY, Sunday 6th March.

For the first time ever see iconic cars - such as Herbie, Bessie from Dr Who, Ghostbusters Ecto 1 and the legendary car from Back to the Future - parked alongside a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Ferrari California, Audi R8 Spyder and the retro classic Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster.

Budding Lewis Hamilton’s can try out the Formula 1 Simulator to see how it feels to zoom around the track at speeds of up to 300mph. Once the track has been mastered visitors can then try their luck at the Formula 1 Pit Stop Challenge. Experts will be on hand running F1 mechanic masterclasses on how to change a racing car’s tyres then speed enthusiasts will compete with one another to see who will be crowned the pit stop professional.

There will also be an F1 Scalextric Track where visitors can race head to head on a multi-lane grand prix circuit using the latest scale racing cars. Plus, get up close with F1 memorabilia including racing suits and helmets from the world of Formula 1.

For those with little ones in tow, there’ll be plenty to keep them entertained. Big Chris and his “number one star” Roary the Racing Car from Channel Five’s Milkshake will be the guest stars of the day in Whiteleys sharing their racing tips and tricks.

Pit Stop is one of Bayswater BIDs many projects aimed at enriching the Bayswater area.
