I went to see this at Odeon Dudley and it wasnt even half full! There were some families but I bet if this was on a Saturday, it would have been a sellout. Even more annoying as my friend tried to get tickets at the same time as me and was informed there were none left!

This was defintely a cut above a lot of animated features i have endured recently, which apart from Tangled, have been largely poor. Dont expect your typical cutesy, wise cracking characters and strictly speaking, I would not say this is really for very young children as there are some scary scenes.

However you will be rewarded by a visually stunning film with original characters and a wonderfully skewed sense of humour!

I saw this in Edinburgh last night and I thought it was beautifully done. The story was, in my opinion, a bit mature for the young audience but they did not seem to care and enjoyed it all the same. I really liked the characters and the accents were fantastic! It did feel a bit slow at times but I guess it was part of the story telling. Overall I would rate this movie 7.5/10

Saw it last night at Odeon Marble Arch which must have been about 70% full.

I did enjoy it a lot, the animation was fantastic and the characters very original in their sort of "funny ugliness". Film buffs, and especially Spaghetti Western fans, will have fun counting the references to some classics.
I would not take very young children to see it as I don't think they would get the jokes and many of the situations, but I guess 8-12yo, especially boys, would be an adequate audience.

Don't expect too much in terms of the storyline but you sure would get a good laugh from it. ;)

Saw it at 11am in Romford, a packed screening of me and another bloke, who chose to sit right close to me.
Thankfully he was smart enough to laugh at the right times, so a chorus of chuckles and giggles at times when Hunter S. Thompson appeared and The Man With No Name popped in, voiced by Timothy Olyphant giving me a double chuckle, and the completely brilliant wordplay and such too.

I loved Rango, I will be catching this film again and am sure to see it pick up the Oscar next year. A stunningly beautiful looking film (No surprise Roger Deakins was a visual consultant just as he was on WALL-E) full of great wit and charm, some surrealistic elements, a lot of darkness between the light-hearted relaxed nature of the whole film, it's a cracker. Depp has a blast, and the exceptional voice cast has not a single failure (Go Isla Fisher, impossible to recognise) and everything worked out well, except perhaps the slow pace in the build up to the final act, but that's a given for the kind of mood Rango was aiming for.

Great fun that never patronises or alienates, quality filmmaking as well as amazing animation.
9/10

Perhaps technically brilliant, possibly the cleverest homage to the spaghetti western genre ever, unfortunately though the film’s storyline failed to either engage me or hold my interest. I was pleased when in a burst of final inexorable dullness it excruciatingly limped across the finish line.

It's a 5.5 out of 10 film in my book. Apologies to all those who clearly really loved it!

I did like this movie but it was kind of ruined by all the kids in the screen, i think that although it may be marketed at children they didnt really understand a lot of it.

I've just seen Paul and unlike Rango the masses of references and homages to other never overwhelmed the movie and I felt I could have enjoyed it almost as much without knowing the movies that inspired it.

I'd really love to watch this one but I missed the screening.
