Fab film!! Really liked it and so did bf as he's a bit of an emily blunt fan
8/10 from us x
Kevin!! How cool is that!!!! Jennifer replied to ya!!! I recognized her immediately too and actually thought her character might develop. Nonetheless great to see a familiar face. Hope to see more of her as she was fab in Pride and Prejudice, The Camomile Lawn and, of course, The King's Speech more recently!

kevinknapman wrote:After mentioning Jennifer Ehle in one of my tweets on twitter about whether there were any more scenes shot involving her I got this message from her:
jenniferehle @kevinknapman nope. I just thought it would be fun. Never even read the script- hope that didn't show in my performance! #adjustmentbureau
How cool is that.
We are also great Jennifer Ehle fans and daughter wrote a letter to her and dropped it off after seeing her at Old Vic in The Philadelphia Story some years back. Daughter knew they had gone to the same school. Jennifer wrote a long letter back--really lovely and kind. So we are always glad to see her--especially liked her scene in The King's Speech with Mr Darcy.

Yes, this wasn't bad. Of course terribly far-fetched (we didn't have God, I mean Chairman interfering between 1910 and 1960 which is when all the bad wars etc. happened - what about the Vietnam war then or 9/11, doesn't count?) It also was never really explained why the life plans for both of them had suddenly changed and why they would have been so terribly bad for each other. And the villains in the hats were the most helpless villains I have seen in a while, just saying things like "Damn. Oh well don't tell me I didn't reason with you!" Because reasoning with love REALLY works. Not.
But yes, Damon and Blunt did have believable chemistry and it was an interesting story, but the ending was a bit abrupt I thought - someone having a change of heart just like that?
Oh and a word of advice to all cinema-goers - if you wear lots of clanking bracelets, please don't rub your hands together all the time. It's annoying.

It's an 8 from me too, I've been waiting for this one since last year. It must have been fate that I see this last night for free, though I had to go through several doors to get there...

Loved the concept behind the story (the "appearance" of free will), and as already mentioned the chemistry between Blunt and Damon is excellent. I'm a bit of a Emily Blunt fan anyway so this was always going to be fun to watch. Definitely recommend taking a risk and seeing this on the big screen!

I think I might watch this after reading the reviews. I like Matt Damon films, especially the Bourne movies and The Departed.

Saw this yesterday, all but free with Nectar points (had to p*y balance of 45p - such a hardship) and would also rate it 8/10. Agree MD and EB seemed to have good chemistry, though they did fall for each other rather rapidly! The novella must have been updated well as there was considerable use of technology - such as mobile 'phones - which wasn't around when the story was published, though the Bureau staff were a reminder of the 50's with those hats.
