The guy next to me loved it and laughed very loudly all the way through. I thought there were some very funny parts and I found it went quite quickly.I didn't expect much more of it than it was to be honest.
though wasn't expecting to see mens bits! huge mens bits at that, some of them! :O
Yes, there were two huge blokes next to me and their laughter was rocking the whole row of seats. It didn't help that the fittings are either loose or broken but I think they were actually the premium seats, so I'm glad I didn't p*y - and extra - to be thrown about!

I enjoyed this far more than I was expecting to. Crude humour like the american pie crew in middle age but it held together pretty well and funny even though you were going EWW in places. And yes everyone that was on their feet and leaving suddenly stopped to catch the bit in the credits with Stephen Merchant's 'Hall Pass'. I can see this doing quite well as it's the kind blokey gross out film with hidden bits of rom-com.

6/10

and aruif yes the
mens bits were certainly huge on a big cineworld screening 8O but I guess balanced by the australian woman's boobs later on!
Edinburgh was full.

I saw the trailer and thought it was going to be rubbish but it was actually pretty funny and I warmed to it as it went on.

Not the best comedy and a few purile jokes but on the whole pretty funny.

7/10 from me as it cheered me up

Hello Ms Thrifty, can't imagine what they were laughing at, I didn't find the film funny at all, well not until the last minute during the end credits.
There were a few cringe worthy scenes such as the belly trouble over the bath but aIthough this was watchable I wouldn't really say it was funny.
Im glad you enjoyed the film but I'm also glad that I didn't p*y to watch it.

Cineworld, Edinburgh was so full they were even sitting on the steps. Some very crude moments but mostly funny and enjoyed the film more than I expected. Cinefine1 would enjoy it!! LOL (see her joke for today). 7/10

"Fortunately" this was screening on a different floor from The Adjustment Bureau so there was no way for me to "accidentally" get "confused" and see a better film instead. And god, was this ever dire. I probably would have enjoyed this more had I taken a shot every time someone said "Hall pass". At least, that is, until I died from alcohol poisoning, was resuscitated and then further drank myself into a coma. This is one of those flicks that tries so hard to be funny that you begin to feel bad for it. It's like a deseperate teen who can't get a date; the harder he tries, the more awkward he is and the worse the results. Somewhere beneath all the utter crap is a decent story trying to be told, but it would have a better chance through some other writers' (anyone elses!) pens. You get all the gross-out moments one would expect from a Farrelly brothers movie but they just make this turd stink even worse. The one moment of brilliance occurs after the credits start rolling and involve the underutilised Stephen Merchant and his hall pass fantasy. It's just a shame I had to sit through 95 minutes of total rubbish to get to it. 3/10

I didn't have high expectations for this film and was expecting a gross out comedy which uses crude language and sex gags to make jokes ... which is exactly what I go out so it delivers in that sense.

I saw it at Enfield which was about 80% full. I hadn't had a free film there in a while and had forgotten how arsey they are! They only let you in to the screen 15 mins before the start time. There were 2 ushers checking ticket printouts and one asked for ID while the other just waved people in. When one man said he didn't have ID, the guy let him in anyway, so what was the point in asking everyone else for ID? :wall:

The film did have a few laugh out loud moments but relied too much on vulgarity rather than comedic timing or well written jokes. Film was blah, nothing special, and easily forgettable. It did provide mindless entertainment for 90 mins which helped take my mind off my tootache :( .

4/10.

Yes, agree with what the others have said. Lots of crude cringeworthy moments but more enjoyable that I thought it would be as not a bit Owen Wilson fan. But appreciate not everyone's cup of tea.

Just back from Glasgow where we had the delights of the first 3 minutes of Black Swan first. Yes, I knew something was wrong when we sat through the advertisements and then trailers for Fair Game and Limitless. Glad I didn't see Black Swan as it look pretty awful.

Back to Hall Pass which eventually started just after 19:05. I enjoyed it but then that is one type of film I liked. Liked how they twist the story so that the wives had more fun than the guys. Crude jokes in between the dialogues. 8/10 from me
