Just seen this at Cineworld Nottingham, wasn’t expecting it to be so long about 2 hours 40. Cinema was about 80% full and as per usual there were late comers. The film seemed slow in parts but was very funny and most people seemed to be enjoying the film.

I thought the film was far too long and I didn't care for the love interest between the main male and female leads. She seemed to change her mind about who she was staying with so often I'm surprised she wasn't dizzy. I can enjoy sexually explicit jokes if they're funny but these were too blunt and in your face - pun not intended. Also seemed like an excuse to pack the film with people playing themselves. Enjoyed some of the background music though.

It just didn't seem to know what it was... I didn't think it was that bad but it wasn't good either. it wasn't a comedy, it wasn't a romcom, it wasn't a drama, it kinda meandered trying to be bits of all three. Some very rare occasional chuckles but not enough and not quite serious enough to be drama. Then some random cameos by people that we wouldn't really recognize that easily until Eminem pops up! And even those couldn't help it, they were just random! it was all a bit meh and a bit too long 6/10

BTW the cinema was 95% full, I think people have high expectations when it's an Apatow film now.

I agree with Elski about this film seeming to have a prolonged identity crisis, but also being neither bad nor good. OH and I saw this at Crawley, courtesy of Andrews, and we both enjoyed it, though I found it rather relentlessly crude and am no fonder of Adam Sandler than before - but then, his character wasn't meant to be that likeable. Certainly no-one walked out and people were laughing. I knew how long the film was so I didn't mind it taking its time, though I did find the Leslie Mann character rather irritating and non-credible. Eric Bana, whom I've not seen before, was funny! I'd give it 7/10.

oh and another thing... I didn't like the song from Cats bit, it seemed rather like Aptow's kids' stage school audition tape

What a complete and utter load of sh**e. I was obviously in the minority if the raucous laughter of my fellow cinema goers is anything to go by. I laughed four or five times but not loudly. I must have scratched almost every part of my body with boredom and I almost walked out after the first twenty minutes. Far too long, far too unfunny and a complete waste of two and a half hours of my life. Can anyone tell me where I can get a refund please?

I can't wait to complete the feedback

Lol contrary to the majority opinion on here, i actually thought it was a hilarious film, yes the plot was somewhat jaded but the jokes were top quality and kept the movie alive . 2 and a half hours flew by, i will definately be gettin this on dvd, adam sandler just cemented his place as a comic genius with this film

8/10

I really liked the film but found it a meandering, overlong mess as well. A very interesting flick in so many ways. Eric Bana as the Australian husband was my favourite, but his character seemed a bit all over the shop. As did Sandler's and Mann's.

My favourite scene was Eminem being stalked by Everybody Loves Raymond.

The film clearly has less mainstream appeal than Virgin and Knocked Up, but I think it's one that I'll watch again.
