:star: Went to the concert at the Royal Festival Hall last night and thought it was fantastic. I didn't see any famliar faces. But there were so many people, anyway.
Did anybody else go? :star:

No, I've had a crazy week this week and was not able to go :(
Still it's nice to hear that you enjoyed it and perhaps I will make it next time if it comes up again :P

yes, i went. i thought it was fabulous, particularly the Liszt. Glad you enjoyed it too!

:star: Had you ever heard of Tomas Netopil before this? I had hadn't, nor had my Czech friend who came with us. But I thought he was amazing and hope we will hear a lot more of him. Perhaps they could hire him as their permanent conductor?
I heard the Philharmonia 2 weeks ago and they were very good but last night he got them to be even better. Even OH who is usually not so keen on romantic composers said "This man could make me like any piece!" :star:

No i hadn't, he seemed quite young (all things being relative). but i found myself sitting next to the Pianist's friend who insisted i come and shake his hand in the interval!

radio 3 this evening at 7pm, Performance on 3, is the broadcast of the concert. i'm out at a (free) film but if i can get my toddler to give me some space tomorrow there's always i-player!
