Woke up with 2 apology e-mails in my inbox, one the short one, one a long one about pondering how it could have happened, will be interesting to see where it all goes, to be honest, I always expect lots of this for every free screening, so as mad as I am, there's an element of 'yeah, thought just as much'. Probably my cynicism.

Still, happy belated birthday phunkygal, hope it was happy.

Exactly what I was thinking when the IB screening was full last week, what can I say it's free!! but I must say the fiasco of last night's screening sounded very bad!

Cant believe the drama that went on outside the screening last night, it was absolutely outrageous! considering how smoothly normal SSF and TT screenings go ahead. I too have sent a complaint email to Momentum this morning, hopefully they will do something about it seeing as many people on this forum have said they sent complaints. I have yet to receive any response though...

maybe I should join the bandwagon and send a complaint today too. Yesterday everything was going so wrong that I wasn't that surprised that I didn't manage to get in

Maybe they should not give any tix away. And the screening should be entirely first come first serve basis.

I can save some time cos I would not come for sure!

Recieved this -

Many thanks for your email and apologies for the delayed response. We’ve spent the morning trying to unravel the events of yesterday evening.

Please accept our sincere apologies that we were not able to accommodate you as expected at last night’s DORIAN GRAY screening. There was an unexpected glitch with our ticketing system which resulted in high levels of over allocation.

We appreciate this problem resulted in considerable inconvenience and a spoilt evening for you. We would like to reassure you that every possible step is being taken to ensure this does not happen again. We would also like to offer you a pair of complimentary tickets to see a film of your choosing at any Odeon Cinema nationwide and hope this goes some way to alleviating some of your current frustration.

To claim these tickets please could you send us your postal address by return email.

Kind regards
Momentum Pictures

Just got the e-mail too, shame Odeons are harder to get to, but maybe I'll make some special trips.

"Computer glitch"???? Why don't they say it was all down to poor organisation? And while they mention they're offering complimentary tickets, they do not give out details about how to get them

Just checking if people got the email from Momentum but I can see phunkygal has posted it.

Demerara, the last line says that you will get the complimentary tickets by sending them your postal address. I guess we should be getting paper ones we can redeem at any Odeon box office (including the West End ones I hope) in the post?
