I thought his father was Jeremy Irons! Shame the acting talent doesn't run in the family

or maybe this was such a bland role that he didn't get the chance to show his acting potential.
@ valda - Max Irons was Henry.
One thing that the film never mentions is when and where the story takes place?

Gosh, Dad must be a bit disappointed, there again these films don't require acting just looks.
As to where and when, maybe it was not necessary to make clear, just a feeliing of a time and place, like in Submarine
catch you later
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Once Superman comes out, Henry Cavill will no longer be 'up and coming' anymore, LOL. He is indeed gorgeous.
Apparently he was the second choice for Edward in Twilight. He was also considered for James Bond before Daniel Craig got the part.

I've just received an email from the guy who sent me the competition tickets requesting feedback on last night and he says:
It wasn't going to be the premiere but it turned out to be!
So I guess the premiere was at the Empire after all! I feel sorry for anyone who turned up hoping for autographs as there was no red carpet in Leicester Square or anything.

Henry was Stephanie M's first choice for Edward, but the way he looked in The Count of Monte Cristo, by the time Twilight was being done he was too old for the part, I don't think they really considered him.. He was more of Stehpanie's dream cast.. (Boy I know way too much about Twilight).
I can't wait for Immortals and Cold Light Of Day. I pray that I see him in person one day.. I know it's cheesy.. But if that ever happens it will sort of give the perfect end and closure for my out of age fan girling... Nobody can top Henry Cavill anyway..

LOL....anyone see the front of the Evening Standard today? Amanda Seyfried got a parking ticket after the preview, but she said "Thanks but no thanks" and threw the parking ticket back at the guy who gave her the parking ticket!
You go girl! lol.....

I don't know if the organisers were abit embarrassed that there were so many empty seats especially at the front which the stars could see. And I was expecting more people to maybe sit near the front just to catch a better glimpse of the stars and take photos, maybe?
And it might have been a budgetary cutback, as downgrading it from a premiere to a preview screening, meant they saved alot of money on policing and setup work and they don't have to organise a post premiere party etc. The evening standard still called it "the european premiere" though.
I would give the film 5/10, it was very cliched but nevertheless watchable. I do worry about Catherine Hardwicke as a director though, her directing talents seems limited for the moment ( Can she direct anything else apart from people biting each other, bits of trees in BC, people given longing looks to one another?) Her roots as a production designer is all too evident. Maybe a case of sticking to the "day job"?
