Re: Arthur
I admire everyone's positive attitude and belief in a performance that has already been panned by critics.
Re: Arthur
Really?! I'm a huge fan of the original. I must admit Arthur 2: On the rocks is a bit rubbish.valda wrote:My thoughts exactly. I'm torn between going as I'm a Russell fan or not going cos it looks so badLiteupLee wrote:Im hoping this is going to be better than Im expecting. The original was rubbish so, how bad can it be???
Not sure what to expect, but Brand and Mirren are interesting choices to fill Dudley Moore and John Gielgud's shoes.

Re: Arthur
I just got 2 lots of tickets for my brother and he snapped them up without hesitation. I must say I'm rather surprised at his enthusiasm considering he thinks RB is a pox on humanity.
I actually think it looks dire but I find it strange how everybody is now lauding the original like it's a comic triumph. Err, it's pretty average actually. Liza and Sir John are great...as is Dud...but it's hardly Dr. Strangelove or Harold & Maude.

Re: Arthur
I saw the trailer for this when I accidentally walked into the Source Code the other day at WIQ. I thought it was dreadful. I'm thinking of giving it a miss.

Re: Arthur
I'm havering now. This would have been my first preview since LWL on 4 April and with nothing else on the horizon, but it as it's not near me, it would also mean quite a long trip and a late night, and it doesn't sound worth that. Some laughs would certainly be appreciated but is this the film to provide those?
