And I don't want to say anything in case I offend anybody, because I observed a few people fingering the sandwiches and then not actually taking them to eat! That's one of my pet hates! I hope it was none of you lot! Beate, my mate and I were extremely amused by your OH's cameo, so I wouldn't worry about it, lol. We said his silhouette resembled Wagner from X-Factor! You'll know who I am when I tell you I was the guy who had to dash before the director entered the room. I was not trying to be rude - I just had to catch another screening at Raindance. I also encountered the rude women. But she tried to crack a joke with me. I was having none of it. I'm one of those people who doesn't take kindly to strangers talking to me without good reason. Plus it was a terrible joke. Also, my mate and I were two of the people who went into the screening room early. Not necessarily to get good seats or anything. That doesn't particularly bother us. We just thought the logistics of the pre-film snacking area wasn't ideal. I couldn't find anywhere to put my plate. I was forever standing in front of the sandwiches because there simply was nowehre else to put my drink and my plate at the same time. I suppose I could have put my drink in my right hand, my plate in my left hand, and shoved my face into the plate of sandwiches like a dog. Not sure how well that would have gone down.
I did notice your dash - good to know you weren't being rude :P

Next time shove your face int he sandwich plate so we all know who you are

Here's my review for this, after my second viewing: http://wp.me/p1LZHn-6W

I actually bumped my score up to a full 10/10 after seeing this again and knowing it was Jessica Chastain going in this time, I was even more impressed by her performance. She's really an incredible actress. I loved some of the subtle touches in this and I have no problem with Skeeter's love story taking a backseat. It mirrors her priorities.

I love this movie.

mattymc13 is not to be confused with my very own friend... who also dashed out from the room before the director arrived and spent a large amount of time as the sandwich_desk (!) as well!
what is it with those boys?

It's good to see the pictures you took turned out well, so us getting repeatedly blinded by your flashlight wasn't in vain, LOL. Great review.

This made me chuckle. There were at least 16 different FMUKers with family and friends there last night (which means about half the ticket allocation went to us) so the chances are high you encountered some of us or even sat next to some of us. We crowded around one of the small tables so the eating situation wasn’t that precarious but I wish I had had the foresight to simply fill up another plate and take it into the screening room, as contrary to the big sign on the door, we were actually allowed to take food and drink in. I thought the bar area was too crowded for all of us and they should have opened it up and let us into the screening room earlier – although I guess we could have just walked in anytime as you did. I grabbed a packet of crisps on the way in and hope I wasn’t too loud with it, but it was quickly eaten!
