Think I've discovered the problem, as I now have a new message coming up saying 'Unfortunately, you're not eligible to take advantage of this reward as our records show that you currently don't subscribe to Sky Movies. Why not take advantage of the other rewards we have available?'

I'm a Sky customer but don't have Sky Movies. I used to be able to get the free screenings tickets without a problem, but they must have changed the rules so that you must be a Sky Movies customer!

I don't know about the rest of the locations but this new one appears to be a shared screening with the Times one?

Interesting Guardian article on the author, Posy Simmonds, and the background to the comic strip:

Well the screening I went to, Whitely's at Queensway was a total screw up. First of all they didn't even open the cinema until 10.55am, only to be told the film had been booked in for Tuesday evening. How annoying, getting up early for a film only to find it ws a waste of time! Of course on Tuesday there is the tube strike so the chances of getting to see it then are remote

The manageress did offer tickets for any other film at the cheapest rate possible, but apart from the kids films I'd seen everything else.
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

So can you use today's tickets for the Tuesday screening?

Apparently so, but with the tube strike, its not likely I'll get there. Its clearly a mistake by the cinema as all the other sceenings are for Sunday,I hate getting up for nothing

What a shame Valda, that is so annoying. I almost considered going down but Whiteleys is quite awkward on a Sunday morning as I have to travel across London so I didn't bother booking tickets. I would have been really annoyed if I had gone all that way for nothing. Odeon Whiteleys customer service is not great - surely they could have let people see something that was starting at a similar time for free (not just the cheapest price), but I appreciate that is no good if you have seen it all anyway.

hi Opas, the only things starting at that time were things like Marmaduke - er no thanks:0)

Whitely's is a complete pain especially as the Central Line wasn't on over the weekend due to track replacements, and to make it double worse, the bus was on a detour due to roadworks. Yeah a massive detour all round Kensington High Street!
