Re: The Help
My mum and aunty were there. My aunty must have enjoyed it as she came around this morning and specifically told me to provide feedback that it was very good. She said 9/10 and said the seats were very comfy. And they seemed happy with the food.
Then she told me something about the film and I said 'I DON'T WANT TO KNOW, as I'm seeing it on Tuesday', but she insisted
. Humph...
Anyway, she said she saw loads of you... Beate, ejwrank, pxc etc.
I thought they were taking the pee when they said the goody bag was just a magazine... but clearly not. I expected the book!

Still, the Prada bag will be an okay consolation if it fetches a few bob on eBay.

Can you imagine if it was the book... on Christmas Day everyone opens their presents and lo and behold... everyone gets a copy of The Help!canadian_turtle wrote:Me tooSunny Saver wrote:I expected the book!![]()

Yep, they were sitting in our row and had the good sense of getting in there early.Sunny Saver wrote:My mum and aunty were there. The book would be great! I am still hoping that someone will get back to me, but my tweet and email have so far remained unanswered.

Re: The Help
I am so late posting about this that everyone has already said everything. But it was a good venue, plenty of nice food, plenty of lovely FMUKers and a brilliant film. See soonforgotten's blog which encapsulates it perfectly. The Q&A was interesting too. All I can add is - read the book, that's brilliant too.
