The Cabin in the Woods
Re: The Cabin in the Woods
Despite not being a huge fan of horror films, I was keen to see this. Found the first part very intriguing as you did not quite know where it was leading to. The premises for the story are ordinary enough- five friends go to spend the weekend in a spooky house in the woods- but the novelty comes from the way the material has been rearranged. I have to say that for me the humour was a relief from all the gore and blood. Overall I thought this was an innovative tongue in cheek horror comedy with a great twist.

Beate I’m glad you stood your ground as you had not left any spaces. It's always first come first served and people should understand that if they are late they have to take whatever seats are left!

Because a surprising amount of people are actually scared to death of clowns.canadian_turtle wrote:Though why did there have to be a clown?? *shudders*)
And don't forget Pennywise from Stephen King's "IT".
Also note that when "the virgin" was talking to "the scholar" she at one point mentioned she was a virgin, before correcting herself. They must've been manipulating her into this role at that stage.
elski wrote:TheOnes wrote:
She wasn't a whore, no. But they made her one in order to complete the ritual. Something else I just thought of: the poster doesn't resemble the film at all!
There is no flying cabin that is three different layers that can move like a rubix cube (at least that's what the poster looks like to me), unless it's resembling the elevator cubicles?
Re: The Cabin in the Woods
yeah I think the poster is just to imply that's it's more than a simple cabin in the woods. I like it, reminds me of an Escher print.

Re: The Cabin in the Woods
The poster is symbolic of the different layers and permutations of the various cabin scenarios.
