Re: Kick-Ass
I am firmly in the awesome camp! Totally loved it, even the violence and swearing. TBH they didn't really bother me, not in the same way that scary slasher movies do (I can't even watch the Scream movies!).
A firm 9/10 from me!
P.S Nice to see you again Beate!

Re: Kick-Ass
Saw it in Birmingham, and thought it was fantastic. I generally don't like superhero films, but this was cracking. I've already read the comic so there weren't too many surprises, but had a great time watching it. I loved the over-the-top gore and language and violent acts by/on a bad-ass little girl, because it was all so different.

Re: Kick-Ass
Were you? Gosh, surrounded by fmukker's and I craned my neck quite a bit to look at people but obviously never turned round properly, LOL!milkchocmonkey wrote:hey I was sitting behind you as well BeateIt was a FMUKker reunion tonight! Arrived at 6.05pm to find already loads of seats taken but got a few good ones upstairs, then the girl in front turned around and it was a_person! Saw bevvy and hdaniel82 (and valda waiting outside). 5rannoch texted me that she couldn't come which was a shame. It only started at 6.45pm, after a delay because people were still streaming in, and a couple of trailers (Robin Hood and Repo Men)

Re: Kick-Ass
Saw this earlier at the Cineworld Haymarket. For once we were actually let into the screen about 5 mins early. Shame it was a 50 min wait for the film to start. As for the film I really enjoyed it. I don't think it's the 5 star film that Empire are touting it as but it was pretty good fun. I especially enjoyed Nicolas Cage's Adam West impersonation when he was in his Big Daddy get-up. A solid entertaining movie.

Yes, that's why I was talking yesterday about which screen it would be in. I went to the matinee of "Legally Blonde" first, so it was a good day all round.a_person wrote:I didn't even realise you were coming to London else I would have definitely come by and say hi!Ms Thrifty wrote:Shame, I so rarely go to a London preview and there were so many other members there but I didn't meet any of them.
