I love the comic, and Matthew Vaughn's adap looks to be shaping up nicely!
Someone camcorded the (fantastic) clips shown at SDCC and they're on youtube...
(I've rearranged them for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy )
Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.

I am a super hero. I can do unbelievable stuff like fly, eat 3 shredded wheat, and save beautiful girls in peril but then every time I do these heroic stuff, I seem to get transported to my bed at home, and feel like I just woke up...really strange.
Do you have a VR headset? If so, maybe we can play a physical sports game or even be sports/fitness partners, hit me up if you keen. PSN: TheyCallMeTej, Oculus: TheyCallMeTJ
Merged. The links from the first post are now out of date, but the clips (though camcorded) really do give a better taste of the film than the official teaser.
Here's some currently working links...
Delicious, would-be-red-band teaser: http://teaser-trailer.com/2009/08/kick- ... ailer.html
Much as I want to see new footage, I would've been happier had this been released properly instead of the aforementioned official teaser.
Clip one: film's intro:
Clip two: Kick-Ass's first attempt to fight crime:
Nic Cage's scene from ComicCon was immense, and Hit Girl's massacre moment was hysterical, jumping in, calling everyone a See You Next Tuesday then going apecrap with a blade.
It's definitely my kind of film. Matthew Vaughn has only gotten better between Layer Cake and Stardust, and by the looks of the clips, this is his masterpiece.
