Please can we have your neighbours??? You'll certainly be remembering them again with tickets!

sorry chaps, I been out in the National Trust this afternoon. Its hardly interesting but -

Steve = the Bull Elephant
MrGlass = Kala the male boss lion
Beate = lioness, anyone she wants to be
Val = the noble but doomed Layla lion
elski - Mara (Layla's daughter)
Hopeprince, Funthing, rawr oxo, aruif, Prettyxcool= the lion cubs
Ms Thrifty = Sita the Cheetah (Sita being a very Asian name) -although possibly could have been superhero!
funthing, Wierdy, AP, McG, CT = cheetah cubs.
SunnySaver =the laughing Hyena who preys on cheetah cubs
KevinKnapman - the crocodile

Celini = bored giraffe (who appeared to walk off the set more than once)

thats as far as I got before the movie ended! it was just a bit of fun to keep me awake, see it wasnt all that after all.

That is so funny raj101 especially MrGlass as the bossy lion and Celini as the giraffe (I've never met you in person - but you sound lovely and amusing)

I'll be staying out of the way of SS! What a great way to pass your time! I'm quite happy being a cheetah cub as long as I'm not one of the 2 who were killed early on. I'm certainly cuddly, full of fun . . . fortunately I'm not that hairy! ! ! Back on topic . . small screen room used in Glasgow and yet not full. Some very restless toddlers who were removed several times before families left for good. I really enjoyed film and the clever use of hours of filming, cut to allow for the storytelling. Also, loved the use of animals in the final titles. Worth staying to end for that! I'd happily watch more of these Disney Nature films, particularly if free. Not really for young children as too long for them and relies on listening skills once the initial novelty of seeing the animals wears off. Marks 8/10.
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

African Cats

#27 Post by rawsalsa » Sun Apr 22, 2012 3:14 pm

Went to see this yesterday at a half full Greenwich O2 (Well it was half full downstairs as we were advised that the balcony was full to capacity.
Although there were quite a number of children they were relatively quiet downstairs.

The film was only okay for me, as reasonable slightly overlong documentary.
It was definitely Patrick Stewart narrating, I'd never forget his ever so distinctive voice.

Saw this this morning.
Wasn't sure what to expect.
But it was shot beautifully.
And a Really interesting film.
My nieces and nephews were a little bored after a while tho.
Should have brought my dad. He would be raving about it. Just he's type of film

I was a monkey, but managed to keep out of shot all the time.

We had a terrible time in Edinburgh - 3 times they restarted without any sound. It could have been Joe Pasquale narrating for all we knew! Finally got it going after over half an hour of trying.

Worth getting out of bed for (even if I never spotted myself!) Better hope I still get the royalties promised!
