We're being spoilt! Is anyone going to see Krapp's Last Tape? It's so short that I'm wondering whether it pays off to attend it. I'll spend way more time commuting than watching the play. :(

It's got Michael Gambon in it though. That's got to be worth a trip surely.

Definitely worth it.. so much choice tonight, in the end the Gambon / Beckett combination had to be the winner.

Krapp’s Last Tape is just under an hour, for me it’s too short, I was just beginning to enjoy it when the curtain came down...

It's a cosy little theatre, but they need to oil those squeaky seats for a quiet play like this.

And I can't understand how people go to the theatre and leave their phones on! Some woman got a call, apologised, then got another call, apologised again, then got a text! Unbelievable.

Although I missed the 18:30 film, I managed to get to see A Guide to Sexual Misery/Bliss tonight. Definitely not for everyone and it really depends on the audience too as there's alot of audience participation (no....it's not what u think!), I really liked it, as it was very funny and more importantly it's like nothing I've seen before, it's not a play, not a musical, not a film, not officially a stand-up comedy. It's part therapy/part comedy. I think he did a good job getting the taboo out of the way first and got everyone in the audience to shout out "sex" at the start and then he went on to discuss various misconceptions and frequently asked the audience what they thought and the humour often depends/comes from the audience, so likewise you can go to a show and find it a bore if the audience doesn't take part.
I quite liked the theatre, it had the right energy, the right buzz. No doubt helped by being offered free wine, which I declined. Audience had to pick which cups to use for their drinks, Green for single, Red for partnered up, orange for complicated.
Maybe im stereotyping people, but I saw quite a few people who probably would never have b*ght a ticket to see a show like this and got their tickets from SFF. This show just opened recently and will play until Nov, so maybe expect a few more tickets
7.5/10 Quite good as it's something different from the norm, but go with a very very open mind

Absolutely agree with all of the above - I couldn't believe the phone either and it was extra wierd as it was the same ring tone as the one they usually use in theatres before the play to remind people to turn off their phones!
Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

I didn't see any/many, as I was trying to avoid the bar. The exercise was suppose to encourage people to talk to each other
