Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

2nd viewing this morning and just as much fun as the first time. Enjoyed spotting a few more details I missed last time.
Including figuring out who provides the singing voice for Hobo Joe
Joanna Newsom
and noticing a certain female Canadian singer who sings one line in the opening song
Feist
The Cars 2 billboards still bother me but this time I noticed a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shop window display for the Winnie the Pooh movie. The fact that it took me a second viewing to spot that tells you all you need to know about Disney's attitude to that film compared to the stinking mess that was Cars 2.

Still that can't spoil the overall fun to be had.

Saw this at Bromborough with daughters who are Muppet fans. They thought it a bit boring at first but thoroughly enjoyed it once the show started!

I also made it to Swiss Cottage this morning.

Quite good. Animal, Kermit's first song and the chickens doing Cee Lo Green are my highlights. What I like about it best is that it's sharply-observed and self-aware of the public's sentiment towards the Muppets. It revels in the nostalgia but also recognises that for a modern audience in a hard, cynical world, they've probably had their day.

We have not been able to stop singing the songs today, from the theme tune to Muppet Man and Me Party, even OH who wasn't at the screening yesterday has been huming the tune. Did have to laugh when daughter asked OH 'Dad you have to decide do you think you are a Muppet of a Man or a Very Manly Muppet?' :giggle: Little madam has also been practicing Miss Piggy's karate chop!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Thanks again to MGellaty for a wonderful Sunday. Perfect timing for everything.

We were at Glasgow Film Theatre and sat at the back. It was funny as the groups of people got older the further up you went. No children in the back row but I did noticed several people with very wee children and even a baby. Why Oh why bring a baby to a non parent and baby showing?

Anyway I love the film. Sat back and enjoyed the show. Song were all catchy and very simple. Lots of laugh out moments and even an applause at the end. 9/10

I felt like I was a kid again, wanting to sing and clap along (I contained myself mostly). We all laughed a lot and loved all the cameos (especially Jim Parsons). I thought it had the right level of cheesiness and fun. Want to see it again!

9.5/10 from me.

What I really really wish is that there were real live Muppet Shows! How amazing would that be!!!
Oh what a shame to have missed you. I was at the cinema dead on 10am but had to wait for my mum who turned up 20 minutes late, but the cinema was still half empty and I still got good seats at the back, the first row after the step. Where were you anakin?

I would love to see this again too.

We didn't get in there until about 1025 and just sat in the first free row we saw - maybe a third of the way down on the right...

I love The Muppets and even went to see the Muppet Babies Live tour when I was younger, but I must admit I got a bit bored in the middle of this and some of the face Amy pulled were beyond strange! Also, a strange mix of guest stars, but loved the muppets musical numbers and love Jack Black so was ok in the end 8/10 for me
