Re: Morning Glory
Saw this at Kingston this evening. Bad start in that we started with a black screen and completely dark room! We then had sound but no picture and then picture but no sound. Finally everything kicked in for the actual start of the film.
A little bit disappointed with this actually - just not enough rom or com in this romcom for me. A little slow to start and then seemed to get going and stalled again. Quite forgetful and don't feel that I came out thinking "oh must remember to catch that again when it's shown on sky".
A lowly 6/10 for me.

Re: Morning Glory
I thought this wa sbetter than i expected, i expected a harsh and serious reality but there was just enough humour to keep it going, I personally loved Harrison Ford's character and felt that he made the film, good but not as good as it could have been

Re: Morning Glory
What was going on with Harrison's voice?
And didn't a lot of people have facial moles, spots, blemishes, lumps and bumps.
And wasn't there far too many fish in the tank in her mam's house.
And my hasn't she got a lovely arse?
I thought there was a little bit of comedy, a little bit of rom-com, a little bit of tension and a lot of kookiness, all in all it was neither nowt nor summat. Surprisingly the rom-com hating boyf said he liked this - pah! 5.5/10

Re: Morning Glory
Saw this last Thursday at a packed cinema, thanks to SunnySaver.
A little slow to begin with, but we were crying with laughter for about 5 minutes or so half way through (just as well I had waterproof mascara on) !
An enjoyable film, not the best but will certainly watch again when it comes on tv.

Re: Morning Glory
I was at Whiteley's too. I was a bit worried when the film started small, as it got bigger I breathed a sigh of relieve. Very disappointed in this film. I didn't like Rachel Adams (is that her name?) by the end of the film, she really started to annoy me. I was closing my eyes hoping I would drft off and have a little nap
Nothing in this film seemed to work, it wasn't particularly funny, the romance seemed like something just thrown in. Jeff Goldblum was good as always in his cameo role. Harrison Ford, wasn't nearly grumpy enough either. 6/10

Re: Morning Glory
I personally can't remember (there's more than enough awful music in it already), but according to IMDB it's not on the soundtrack listing.superhero wrote:So can anyone tell me, did they play Cheryl Cole's song in the film??
