Yes, do enjoy your Cologne holiday, Diane. Eat lots of lovely food -- I mean it would be rude not to!

I certainly didn't worry about food my goodness where do I start? The delicious German breads, freshly made waffles, omelettes, cooked breakfasts, cakes and this was every morning but I did always have some fruit plus I did have vegetables in my omelette (this is not only the selection on offer but I did try everything). We found the most divine restaurant around the corner from the hotel where last night I have never had so much food on my plate ever (it looked like a serving plate  ) chicken with creamy mushroom sauce, broccoli, cauliflower and chips followed by ice cream and hot cherries. Had cakes in the chocolate factory (I've got my custom made bar of chocolate for Easter). I also managed to have an Americaner cake, another cake in Bruhl plus a meal out with sauages, sauerkraut and fried potatoes. I have no idea how but we did go out for lunches as well and have snacks when we got back in - it doesn't add up that I have eaten all this in 3 days but I certainly did 8O

On the plus side I did walk around all the time we were there from dawn until dusk and apart from the evenings when we had snacks in the rooms my toe nails never saw the light of day  but I did feel rather grown up in polished finger nails o/
