We b*ght a Zoo
Re: We b*ght a Zoo
OH and myself enjoyed this, should have met up with some lovely ladies (Diane, Ak and co) only THEY went to the wrong picturehouse. Lol
Re: We b*ght a Zoo
I really enjoyed this. Cameron Crowe is one of my favourite directors, and this film bears most of his hallmarks. Very sweet and sentimental, maybe a little overlong.
Saw this at Odeon Greenwich, film started early at 10.30. Must have been at least thirty people who missed a good chunk of the opening thirty minutes. They also showed it in the wrong ratio, top of Matt Damon's head was cut off in several scenes.

Re: We b*ght a Zoo
I saw this at Ashton under lyne today and i was suprised to see that it was less than half full. On to the film, i actually really enjoyed the film even though this type of film isnt usally my thing. There were some brilliant scienic shots and of the animals too. I would say the film was about as long as it needed to be to explain the story and not rush it. I thought there was good preformances by Matt damon and scarlet johansson and also from the little girl who played his daughter. A nice easy to watch film on a saturday morning and i see why some people may say that it is simlar to ITV's wild at heart story, i was suprised to see swearing in a PG film but anyway 7/10 for me.
Really need to join the Free Film's club this year! Always forget

Re: We b*ght a Zoo
Saw this at eddinburgh Westerhailes and girl checked it was an RBS Card and it was in my name!
Still lots of late comers and folks going backwards and forwards.
Have not watched wild at heart so nothing to compare it with,
Good easy Saturday morning film, easy watching without the usual bad language.
Like Stuart boy, would I watch it again, prob not, but happy to have seen it.

I saw this in Braehead today and thought it was a wonderful movie. Well written and well acted. love Crowe as a director, one of my favorite movies is Jerry Maguire. His films often have characters who are single parents.

Re: We b*ght a Zoo
Saw this at Swiss Cottage with pxc and Mr G - thank you again to pxc for including me in her party; it was nice to have the company, as it was to see C and ML. The film was pretty much what I expected and despite being based on a true story, seemed formulaic (quite similar to those sports films where someone rescues a failing team and leads them to stardom) but no less enjoyable for that. I was surprised how poorly-attended the preview was, though, especially at it didn't start until 11 am - what a waste. All in all a pleasant and undemanding start to a long day with heavier fare (plays) to follow.

Yes I was very glad to see your mum and aunt get on the bus and we had a good chat. Good to see your mother is doing so well after her surgery. We tried to sit together in that back row at the cinema as it is stepped but couldn't get 3 seats together. They did ask your aunt for her card as her ticket was in your OH's (male) name but they went through without any trouble. They didn't bother checking my card as ticket was in female name.Sunny Saver wrote:Are you deserting Holloway Road now?prettyxcool wrote:Just saw this at Swiss Cottage.
Nice to have Ms Thrifty and MrG's company as well, and always lovely to see celini and MariaLionza.
I didn't go but mum and aunty liked it. They haven't actually told me anything about the film apart from having a nice long chat with ejwrank beforehand.

Re: We b*ght a Zoo
Swiss Cottage is nearer and actually much nicer and the audience is better behaved. You and your family and ejwrank are of course not included in that remark about Holloway! You lot are always impeccable, it's the other attendeesSunny Saver wrote:Are you deserting Holloway Road now?prettyxcool wrote:Just saw this at Swiss Cottage.
