Re: Love and Other Drugs
I saw it last night in Edinburgh and I was quite impressed with the performances! I was expecting it to be quite superficial but it was lovely and moving. I think it's great that they bring those types of issues to people's attention. I never actually thought that people could get Parkinson's disease being so young! The story was well written and quite believable.
Re: Love and Other Drugs
If someone offers you a choice between seeing this movie and eating your own vomit, I'd strongly recommend eating your own vomit. Really bad jokes, AND nowhere near as much nudity as I was lead to believe
I did like the "UNconvention" sequence and if I have to find one positive thing to say about the film is that it highlights the plight of those less fortunate people who suffer from long-term illness (Parkinson's or otherwise), but other than that, it's sugary drivel... 3/10.

Yes, I noticed that too! At least "Jamie" wasn't driving a Toyota Prius, like every other Hollywood character these days!ucakpam wrote:BTW, I'm guessing Budweiser must have sponsored this movie. I lost count of how often Budweiser bottles appeared on screen!

Re: Love and Other Drugs
Saw this tonight at Westerhailes and surprised at how full it was. A lot of latecomers who all seemed to want to sit in our row or the one in front of us - most annoying.
The film was better than I had thought with all the comments about the nudity. A few laughs but some sombre scenes too. 6/10

Didn't get to go but my daughters and their friends went and all (girls and boys) thoroughly enjoyed it. My 17 year old described it as 'sexy, funny and romantic'.

I saw this at the Odeon, Shaftesbury Avenue last night with my sister and we LOVED it. Funny and poignant. Anne Hathaway was excellent in this and I certainly laughed out loud a few times.
A solid 8/10 from me and I am glad to be back in the 'free films fold' after months of horrific pregnancy sickness!
