Well, that was awful.
I thought after reading so many good reviews that all the clips I had seen (Culminating total of 30 minutes, actually the entire third reel and bits of reel 2 too) were taken out of context, so they wouldn't seem as good as in the film, with a great set up for everything. Seting up is all this film is, of course, to The Avengers next year.
Like Iron Man 2, Thor felt like an advert for the forthcoming Joss Whedon film, sure to disappoint given the way Marvel are working with films now, as the film is entirely mis-toned, poorly paced, character dilemmas on Earth end in one swift moment, leaving none of the hour previous relevant, and everything just felt off.

I really wanted to like it, but my goodness was this a disaster. The acting, the script, the direction (TILTS!), the effects, the, well, EVERYTHING, I wanted to leave often, but that would be very bad form. Plus I wanted to see what was at the end of the credits. Anti-climactic.

Marvel and me are done, we had fun in the early noughties, great times, memories that will sustain time, but this past few films, from Iron Man onwards with the exception of The Incredible Hulk, have been languishing pieces of rubbish that I want no part of sitting through ever again.

Maybe I'm getting too old for them, but then a lot of you guys are older than me and like these films, so, perhaps I'm just a miserable old bastard.
Anyway, yeah, I hated Thor.

Good question! The SSF ticket for 9:45 says "THOR" whereas the Virgin ticket for Odeon Kensington says "THOR 3D". Would the cinema know?

Probably will be 3D, they'd want to show off 3D. 3D is the kind of thing they'd push.
