Re: The Kids Are All Right
Gosh, I didn't notice anyone walking out and I was sitting at the back, near the exit. You must have been commendably quiet about it, unlike the latecomers arriving!
Re: The Kids Are All Right
Absolutely agree with all of the above. I thought the film dealt quite well with the dynamics of a family and re-assessing life values. I also enjoyed the soundtrack.prettyxcool wrote:Agree with you there Ms Thrifty, the incline was bad! Luckily the tall guy in front of us who could have obscured our view had to steer his head low to the left as there was another tall guy in front of him!!Also, annoyed at so many noisy latecomers, two blocking our view as they tried to get into the middle seats in the row in front.
Thanks kevinknapman for your review, always enjoy reading them. I try not to read reviews before I see a film. I totally agree with you, and you say it so much better!! http://www.fmuk.org.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... are#p62381
I was at the cineworld trocadero and it was very annoying with all the latecomers especially as I was asked to move up after the film had started when I had been there since before 6 to choose a seat - so I am afraid that I refused to move this time as I wouldn't have been able to see so well had I moved....
Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

Re: The Kids Are All Right
Kudos to you. It was ridiculous how many people came in well after the film started. Cineworld shouldn't have let them, simple as that. But seeing as they did, the nerve of such people. They were quite loud and honestly, why do they think they should have a right to ask anyone to move? I'd tell'em to sit on the floor if they want to be together.moondance wrote: I was at the cineworld trocadero and it was very annoying with all the latecomers especially as I was asked to move up after the film had started when I had been there since before 6 to choose a seat - so I am afraid that I refused to move this time as I wouldn't have been able to see so well had I moved....

They also sat on either side of me munching popcorn very loudly - don't know if that was in retribution!soonforgotten wrote:Kudos to you. I think popcorn should be banned as it is loud and smelly

If there's ever a time and a place for letting one rip in public, that's it.moondance wrote: They also sat on either side of me munching popcorn very loudly - don't know if that was in retribution!

Re: The Kids Are All Right
Yes the latecomers were very noisy and seemed to think they deserved seats together in the central area and made people move to accommodate them -- the nerve. One woman made a big fuss and couldn't hear that her phone was going (at full volume). We had to tell her over and over to switch it off. I think if people come late they should take whatever seats are going and not make a fuss--it was crowded but there were seats available. The 'big' cinema at Trocadero was certainly not ideal -- virtually no incline and seats in a straight line so you look directly at the guy's head in front of you.

Sorry you had such a bad experience Sunny Saver. And well done moondance for sticking to you guns! I would write to Cineworld and complain, moondance, quote the terms and conditions of the offer, i.e. No entry once film has commenced blah, blah, your enjoyment spoilt blah, blah. Hope you get some free tickets!

Sometimes latecomers ask me to move so they can sit together, so I deliberately don't. I mean what do you need to sit together for? If you are going to chat, chat outside.

Re: The Kids Are All Right
Like many of you, I also had to put up with latecomers asking us to move, which we didn't, blocking the screen, being noisy and disruptive.
I also agree if you are late, then come in, make no noise and sit where you can. If you are late, you don't get a choice, you want a choice of where to sit arrive early. It would be better if the cinema didn't allow people in after the movie starts.
I have written a complaint to both Cineworld and showfilmfirst, though I doubt any good will come of it.
The movie was reasonable, expected more I guess from the reviews, but not a bad night out

Went to a packed out trocedero yesterday as well….but I didn’t see any FMUkers.
The cinema was big but I didn’t like it as there was no incline and luckily no one sat infront of me either wise it would have blocked my view…I feel sorry for however sat behind my bf as he is quite tall and there was a tall guy in front of him as well ;o) what can u do.
Ok the movie, I thought it was ok but not a great movie. It had funny moments and an interesting story but it was predictable and left things unanswered and was a bit harsh on the donor dad, as the kids and mum forgave the other mum for cheating but not the donor dad-it takes 2 to tango, people!!! It was quite slow in parts and it never really went anywhere. 5/10
