At the screening last week Leicester Square gave free glasses but I always take a spare pair in my bag anyway as I have accumulated a pile of them from all the free screenings I've been to. :shifty:

funthing, was your preview at the big Odeon (one on side nearest Leicester Sq tube and where they usually have the premieres)? Never been to a preview there.

Indeed it was. My first time in that cinema too.

It is the largest screen I've ever been in - even bigger than screen 1 at the Empire I think. I even said to the usher on on my way in: "which screen is it in?" and she replied "there's only one screen" .

I sat in the upper circle and it is rather comfortable with nice leg room. The sound is incredibly loud though and I could feel my seat vibrating during the action sequences.

On the way out I had a peek at the balcony on top of the ODEON sign which overlooks Leicester Square and I could just imagine all the celebrities who have stood there before me. :D

lol, and and ya didnt come say hi!?!

Sure was packed, and there I thought I would be the only one...oh with mama ;)

Still enjoyed this second time around. but I really hate the 3d, just spoils the visual splendour of asgard.

Did you stay for end credits?

Quite enjoyed this, it fits well with the whole Avengers thing, so I'm looking forward to it all coming together. Agree about 3D, a waste of time for the most part. Asgard looked spectacular, I've no problem with the cast or style of direction, special effects were pretty good too (although there was one dodgy cgi moment in a battle early on in the film), and I liked a touch of humour here and there. Nice score, though I wasn't sure about that (Foo Fighters?) song at the end. Overall 8/10 from me.

I was amazed at the length of the queue when I arrived at 9.15 am this morning at Leicester Square. My first time in this Odeon and the screen is big and the cinema is huge--don't know if the upstairs was open but downstairs looked pretty full up.

I had low expectations so thought this was better than what I had feared. And there were a few laughs which really surprised me. We stayed until the credits finished (and they are l o n g!) and saw the little coda at the end.

Glad to see a_person who was sitting with marialionza who snared her before I could. See how popular a_person is! Thanks to a_p for my ticket so I could give mine to my son and his friend.
