Hi Guys, I had the same thing happen at Kingston and missed half an hour of the film because they started it early! The lady almost wouldn't let us go in but eventually did and from what I saw it was a fairly good film. Agree with other posts that I wouldn't know which genre this film fits into but I think anyone looking for a rom-com may be disappointed as parts of the film start to get serious but then never really follow through. I did still enjoy it though, both actors are very watchable and overall would give the film a 6 or 7 out of 10.

We did get offered a free ticket at the end of the show which I was not expecting so I think anyone in the same boat should be entitled to the same and should contact the cinema again and tell them this maybe? Good luck!

This happened today too in Milton Keynes, we arrived at 10.30am and the film had started...went back to the desk, Manager called...he looked at all the people arriving and the printed off tickets saying 11am...and stopped the film, and re-started it again at 11am...everyone happy, ...I think it was a good call from the Manager.

I did complain at the cinema and they said it wasn't their fault (no offer of any free ticket ) also email to Admin at See Film First who said they would look into it. Never mind i will take my wife to see it this week after work one night....maybe Orange Wednesday, merry xmas

I also sent SFF a long e-mail but maybe I should have sent it to the Admin address as I used the "Help" one (which we know doesn't usually elicit a response) and got an automated reply saying they were very busy. I didn't expect them to be working over the BH weekend anyway but maybe I'll copy my e-mail to that address. I was very polite...

I saw this at a packed Wester Hailes in Edinburgh yesterday.
Was it worth the early start and the drive right accross the city?
I have mixed feelings on this one. I thought Jack Gyllenhall and Anne Hathaway really did come through strongly and made their charachters seem believable but what let them down was a jumble of a script. It didn't know whether it was a rom-com, a drama or what. Agree about the brother, what was his purpose given the routes they chose?

5.5/10 from me.

I have to say it was an okay film but I was totally confused as to what its purpose was as it did not seem to make up its mind as to what genre it was - did it want to be a drama or just a romcom?

Gyllenhall and Hathaway were extremely good but seemd to be let down by the mixed message of the overall film and script.

A 6/10 for me on this one.

Ate my words about not giving this film another chance after yesterday's preview disaster: in fact, my sister and I went to see it today, almost free (mainly Nectar but had to p*y £1.30 cash - their new system is bizarre) at Vue Watford. I agree about the puzzling mix of tone and genre and that the brother was unrealistically gross, but the film certainly didn't drag for me; I could hardly believe that nearly 2 hours had elapsed.

Cinema quite full for a midweek matinee at an out-of-town location, though it was the first day on release and some people are presumably still on holiday. I'm not sure, however, that every member of the audience was p*ying 100% attention and I was surprised at the age range: from young teenagers to pensioners. The man next to me appeared to be asleep throughout (though thankfully not snoring) but when I remarked on this, my sister said darkly "Perhaps it wasn't his choice of film."

Yup, that's what I rated it in my Scores, but it was a hard one to assess. I think I was distracted by the fact that my sister was with me so I felt (even though I wasn't actually) responsible for her reaction, too. She and I have a poor track record when seeing films together: it is always one of us persuading the reluctant other and so far we've each been unimpressed (at best!) with the other's choice.
