I'm really suprised at the positive reviews that G.I. Joes is getting, I was expecting a complete cheese-fest but they've been really positive from what I've seen

The best film I've seen in the last month is Star Trek XI. I saw it at the fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The theatre is a theatre, and also shows movies regularly.
We were able to get into see the film as we had a ticket which allowed 2 of us to get in for the price of one ticket. We pa*d $10, and on arrival were given Coke Zero, which was being promoted. (Coca Cola has its headquarters in Atlanta.) Other people pa*d $20 for their two tickets, and had a wine reception when they arrived. (We were unaware of this little bit of information.)
I have already seen this film earlier in the year, but this theatre is the reason that I went again. I have never been in a building like this one! The outside resembles a Moorish building, with ornate brickwork and minerets. Inside, you are transported back in time to the Golden Age of Cinema. The ceiling appeared to be a celestial sky, with twinkling stars. It was surreal. There was a capacity to seat 3000 people, and my husband and I thought that there must have been 2000 people there. What an atmosphere!
There was a chap playing the organ to begin with, then we had a bit of a sing-a-long with him, and the words were shown on the screen. Excellent fun!
The film started, and the audience were interacting with it, yelling out, clapping, giving advice to Jim and young Spock. When Leonard Nimoy appeared, there were people on their feet, clapping. It was altogether a completely different film experience.

I have found a website for you to have a look at if you are interested. Click on the link to have a 360 degree virtual tour of the theatre. Let me know what you think.

Out of all those you have listed the most enjoyable was Star Trek. Saw GI Joe last night and what a waste of the evening. utter garbage, the total inability to act, the script was concocted by a 2 Year old.

This for me has got to be The Hangover... I haven't laughed at a film like I laughed at this one for so long. I keep telling everyone to watch it... becoming a bit pyscho about I think...

If you haven't seen it go watch it.

Hmm not sure I'd like Start Trek but people seem to love this. Is this cos they were Trekkie fans before?

I have to agree with the Hangover. I havne't come across such a funny film for a long time

Didn't think Night at the Museum or Ice Age were as good as their predecessors

I think Adam was my favourite film this month .... SO SO sweet! 500 Days of Summer was fantastic as well. If only all romantic comedies were as good as this!
