MONSTERS UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCED AS EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FAMILY GALA

Edinburgh International Film Festival have announced that Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University is this year’s Family Gala, screening at the Festival Theatre in 3D on Sun 23 June with a schools screening on Monday 24 June at Cineworld. After the success of last year's Brave screening we're delighted our theatre will once again be hosting such a prestigious event.
Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realise they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University is directed by Dan Scanlon (Cars, Mater and the Ghostlight, Tracy), produced by Kori Rae (Up, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc.) and features music from future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and awardwinning composer Randy Newman Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 3). The film opens in UK cinemas on 12 July 2013.

(I did do a search using Monsters University and the other thread didn't pop up - Thanks Elski for finding it)

SKY SCREENINGS

Coming soon

Monsters University

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in the UK on July 26, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select cinemas.

I am sooooo excited about seeing this but just realised that it looks as though Sky might only have a preview at the O2. :tears:
Hopefully someone else will have a free preview! :cross: :cross: :cross: :cross: :cross:

I don't know about this film. I was excited about it, but seeing the trailer hasn't really made me want to see it. I think they've made a mistake doing this film, I don't think it will be anywhere near as good as the original.

i agree with Agent-S - big mistake making another monsters inc. why can't they go and do something original - they are so good at that!
