Well according to Ploggit this was bonkers but highly entertaining for seeing it once and no more. Luckily they knew to make it a good 90 minutes so it didn't feel too long. IGN citing it to be "a throwback to ’80s and ’90s adventure movie with a dash of comic book violence thrown in for good measure." and it was most definitely was.

Made by the same Finnish folk who made the best Christmas film I've seen, Rare Exports. The boy who played Oscar was also the kid from Rare Exports.
This us a kids film really and appealed to my black sense of humour.
Good fun, silly and made for an enjoyable night.
7/10.
I like Finnish films. Roll on the Moomins next month!

I wasn't that impressed poor in parts but Samuel l makes any film half decent to watch so I'd give it 6/10

Absolute nonsense, but really quite enjoyable. Samuel L Jackson and the boy had a good rapport and it didn't outstay its welcome.

Such a shame there was so much swearing and violence as I think this would be a great PG film - like some of the classic 80s kids/teen adventure films. 6.5/10

Couldn't believe a couple brought two babies in arms and a 7 year old boy to this. The babies started crying as soon as it started so dad took them down to front row

Anyway thought this was a Finnish version of ET at one point with the President wrapped in a blanket on the back of Oskari's quad bike. Oh and don't get me started about taking refuge in a freezer! A tongue-in-cheek 6/10 from me.

Reminded me too of ET when he was wrapped in the blanket. But all the baddies weren't killed - one survived and we never found out what happened to him! Will he try again to kill the president!!
Enjoyable to watch with the boy stealing the show. 7/10

For those that care/ are interested, this is actually based off a 9-12 children's book of the same name, which is probably why it's such a jumbled bag on reviews :)

I enjoyed Rare Exports and thought this might be as good, but really it was too tame for me. Just a kiddies film.
