It would not be a surprise to anyone that I'm very much looking forward to David Ayer's adaptation of DC Comics' The Suicide Squad which blasts its way into UK cinemas on Friday 5 August 2016.
What's not to look forward to? David Ayer is an intelligent talent who has written a number of fresh screenplays and has a directorial track record of serious dramatic action films made unique by the level of intensity he brings out of his cast like Christian Bale's in Harsh Times, Jake Gyllenhaal & Michael Peña in End of Watch, Arnold Schwarzenegger in Sabotage and Brad Pitt & Shia LaBeouf in Fury.
No doubt Ayers will be bringing a similar level of intensity to the Suicide Squad's already notable cast which includes: Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, Jared Leto, Ben Affleck, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Scott Eastwood (who is he playing?)
