A Fantastic Woman

#1 Post by prettyxcool » Sun Oct 08, 2017 9:12 pm

Daniela Vega a transgender actress, playing a transwoman in a very touching story. Some really brutal scenes as she courageously live a life that will not conform to what others want, as she grieves for her lover, who dies suddenly, and is left to deal with the fallout and cruelty from his family, and suspicions from the authorities investigating his death. A brilliant drama. 10/10

Saw this at Odeon Leicester Square as part of the London Film Festival, with a Q&A afterwards with Daniela Vega. She describes some of the scenes she found hard to do, which I found quite unnerving to watch too. Fascinating actress, well deserves an award.

International film with some nice cinematography, music (Mathew Herbert) and a really great performance from Daniela Vega. A moving story and captivating for the most part 6/10

Yes, it doesn't make sense to have several posts for the same film. It can get unwieldy, if everyone did that LOL :D
