Astroboy

#1 Post by superhero » Mon Jan 18, 2010 3:38 pm

If there's any tickets going for Astroboy in central london, I would be quite interested. I loved watching the Japanese cartoons when I was younger. I don't think the film's had good reviews but I saw the trailer and thought it looked fun anyway.

Ditto, please think of me if they come about. Central London, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road, Hampstead or Belsize Park.

The colours looked really nice in the trailer, like giving Astroboy a new lick of paint. I think a 3D Astroboy would have been even better.

Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving man's expectations, our hero embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators, before he returns to save Metro City and reconcile with the father who had rejected him.

Hey, sorry, just saw this.
I have vague recollections of it, but I am married to a geek and I know he'd love it if I got tickets! He's turning me into a mini-geek.

Maybe it's trickling its way down. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.
