Sky Movies is hosting special preview screenings of the The Sorcerer's Apprentice (Cert 12) on 3 August 2010 (and 9 August for the Dublin screening). And, from 16 July, Sky Movies customers can claim up to two tickets to attend one of the 21 screenings happening up and down the country.
Walt Disney Studios, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub, the creators of National Treasure, present The Sorcerer's Apprentice - an innovative and epic romantic comedy adventure about a sorcerer and his hapless apprentice who are swept into the centre of an ancient conflict between good and evil.
Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé, giving him a crash course in the art and science of magic.
Together, these unlikely partners must stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice is at cinemas from August 13.

Re: The Sorcerer's Apprentice
As we know from the above, there will be Sky screenings available to book from 16 July. If anyone is wondering, the reason why I keep deleting the early alerts for that screening from Free Film is that absolutely no info has been given on the post, apart from the fact that tickets will be available from 16 July, so it's a bit pointless. Could we please keep this on Film Discussion until more details appear. Thanks.

I bet sky's already on the lookout for people "hacking" into their site before the 16th to get tickets. But hey whats the rush? They are boasting that there's more than 3900 tickets!

Re: The Sorcerer's Apprentice
True, it's a real loss. We already have a Cineworld close so don't really need another one....

Re: The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Exactly, that's what I thought. I prefer a Vue. They may now stop using West India Quay when there's a choice for WIQ or Greenwich and I'd prefer WIQ anyday merely because it's closer. Oh well.Beate wrote:True, it's a real loss. We already have a Cineworld close so don't really need another one....

Now Cineworld own the largest screen in Europe.
