I don't think anyone would be insane enough to remake Back to the Future.

Apparently it will be in cinemas for 2 weeks from 1st October.

YESSSS!!!! Its the 25th anniversary and also timed for the Blu Ray release too but man am I sure hope the Empire Screen one shows this where I watched all the BTTF films on their release. In those days Empire used to have a laser light show before their screenings. When they showed BTTF 2, they played the theme music, did a count down and on the curtain the laser lights did an animation the Delorean car , then film begins. I miss those days. They still have the laser light facility but their managment says its costly to operate.
My film reviews here . ......My FMUK 2014 ratings.......My FMUK 2011 ratings.......My FMUK 2013 ratings . ......My FMUK 2012 ratings .

WOW! Thats amazing news - I hope they release all three - I think BTTF2 just about pips BTTF to number 1 spot with BTTF3 last.
I too remember seeing all 3 at the Empire and their lasers!! Happy days. At least the Empire is still unadulterated. Look what happened to the Odeon Marble Arch (a travesty of its former glory) and the Leicester Sq Theater (Odeon West End as it is now known as)!! The latter is now due for demolition, the site to be turned into yet another hotel. Only the credit crunch is saving it at the moment, so if you haven't been go and check it our before it's gone for ever. Screen 2 - the old stalls - is still large enough to inspire a sense of occassion and the sound system is excellent. I saw Inception there last week and it was amazing!!

I'm saying this year is a cinematic black hole, and a 25 year old film is far superior to even the best of this year.
