Gulliver's Travel
I saw the trailer for this today and thought it could be a big film for Christmas, but why do they attach themselves to be an Orange commercial (you just can't take the film seriously). At least this one with Jack Black is more suitable than the A-team/Orange trailer. People actually did laugh when they controlled Jack Black like a puppet on strings.
I don't remember did Orange do previews for the A-team in the end? Maybe orange will organise previews for Gulliver's Travel

Re: Gulliver's Travel
I also saw the trailer and loved it. It made me want to see the film.
I did wonder how much they must have pa*d Jack Black to act like a puppet on strings.

Re: Gulliver's Travel
At least it suits Jack Black, but I didn't think someone like Liam Neeson (in the A-team) would agree to doing an orange ad.

Gulliver's Travels
Jack Black is bigger than ever in 3D…as Gulliver, a perpetual underachiever and wannabe travel writer at a New York newspaper. When he finally makes an effort to actually venture out the city to write a travel piece, a storm-tossed voyage lands him on an island inhabited by tiny folks called Liliputians. After a rocky beginning, the gargantuan Gulliver becomes an inspiration to his new six-inch-tall friends. He brings them modern-day wonders like a PDA and music video game – while they help him learn that it’s how big you are on the inside that counts.

Blenheim Palace
The festive season is a particularly special time at Britain's Greatest Palace when the State rooms are beautifully decorated for Christmas. This year the Palace is decorated to highlight the recent filming for the Fox UK film production of 'Gulliver's Travels' in which Blenheim Palace appears in scenes as the Palace of Lilliput. Due for release in cinemas on Boxing Day, this modern remake of Jonathan Swift's classic tale with incredible special effects stars Jack Black, Billy Connelly, Catherine Tate, Emily Blunt and James Corden.
The exhibition features costumes worn by the stars on the set of the film including Jack Black as Lemuel Gulliver, the beautiful costumes for the Royal Family of Lilliput such as Connolly’s outfit as King of Lilliputia, and dresses worn by Tate as the Queen and Blunt as the beautiful Princess.
The Palace State Rooms are decorated with magical displays depicting highlights from the classic tale of a giant lost in the miniature land of Lilliput. Glowing fires provide a warm welcome in the Saloon and Long Library and each feature displays bringing the magic of this much-loved tale to life. The Great Hall features a travellers theme with travel trunks and hot air balloons amidst the grand scale of magnificent Christmas trees. In the Saloon the grand table is set for a Royal Lilliputian feast as featured in the film, swathed in beautiful white and gold, with a place setting for a giant at one end of the grand banquet table!
The land of Lilliput is brought to life in the Long Library with exquisite Dolls Houses provided by the Dolls House Emporium, and displays of hand-crafted miniatures by Lilliput Lane.

Re: Gulliver's Travels
Shame the preview is on boxing day - wonder how many people will make it. Boxing Day is the day we use to recover from from Christmas. In fact, I tend not to venture out (unless it is to visit family elsewhere) until at least the 28th!

Tube strike planned in London as well... But still, a nice long early morning walk to the cinema to work that xmas dinner off, definitely!

Re: Gulliver's Travels
I shouldn't have any problems getting to Greenwich (knock on wood), and the 26th is perfect for me, now that I am in the country that day for a change!
