Saw it a few weeks ago and loved it, surprised the amount of halfway marks critics have given, definitely one of the stronger action thrillers of the past few years, obvious plot twist or not.

no way near the original, this is high octane nonsense fun.

but bronson's mechanic would waste stathams with his Saw-like prophetic abilities.

Seen this tonight.

It was good but I wasn't blown away. After watching other Jason Stathom movies I couldn't help but feel like it's just the same thing with a different title?

Can a movie with Jason Statham in it ever be good?

Jason Statham can make a bad film good, he's just brilliant.

Utter crap...

Big egg shaped 0 out of 10.

Oh and Donald Sutherland appears in two scenes then he's gone, kinda like Neeson in Next Three Days.

it pretty much ruined concept of the original mechanic movie, you know, a quiet Miyagi-type old guy that you wouldnt notice in the street. Should have been called the Transporter 4, tbh, thats what it really is with a few re-edits.

on the plus, side, it was Ed Norton as his sidekick? Fine support from him even with a crap script, this guy makes his mark on the movie.

Ben Foster. Also played Angel in X-Men: The Last Stand. Thought he was pretty good in this too. And yes the idea that Statham was a skilled assassin who could get in, do the job quietly, make it look like a natural death and get out undetected was pretty much discarded after the first 10 minutes.

Overall though I enjoyed it. Not great and Statham gives his customary one-note performance, but it had some fairly decent action sequences. Not quite as absurd as the Transporter or Crank films but still pretty daft. An undemanding watch.
