Re: J. Edgar

It was difficult to appreciate the good bits in the film (there were some I think) as the battle between how to do excellent ageing make up (DiCaprio) and how to slap dough on actors faces and assume the public wont notice (the rest) was too distracting. What were they thinking of?

Re: 50/50

There are more codes for this film than any other I've seen. Surely no one will need to p*y and see it after all these freebies.

Re: Immortals

Saw the film last night at the Leeds Showcase, which was nearly full. There is no story, what little plot there is is rediculous but the battle scenes are good, with lots of CGi if you like that sort of thing. Glad I didn't p*y for it or I would have been angry at being ripped off.

Re: The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn

Saw the film in Leeds tonight in a cinema about 60% full. The man who introduced the film said that we were the first people in the world to see the English version, needless to say I didn't believe him. The security was a little over the top, but maybe justified. Really enjoyed the film in a ...

Re: The Help

Really enjoyed the film. It is a chapter in American history that should not be forgotten and movies like this help to give prominence to the struggle of so many around the world even today.

Re: Real Steel

Saw this film with my 9 year old son, he said that it was the best film he'd ever seen. I can see what he means, it was excellent, just what it 'says in the tin'.

Re: Super 8

Is your child easily scared? Cause I had adults next to me both times who jumped in some scenes. Well my kids have seen all the Harry Potter films, don't really watch any other horror as such. I think I will take my 8 & 10 year olds but leave my 6 year old for this film. Thanks for the advice o/
