Oh well connected. The camera did linger on that moment. If I recall correctly, he even gave a smirk looking at it, didnt he?

Saw this at islington on Thursday and, like some have said, the heat was difficult to withstand. Despite the heat, i really enjoyed both the film and the casts almost flawless performances. Especially, from Spacey who particularly made the film shine. Also was a great fan of the dying dog metaphor!

Thanks to MariaLionza for taking me as her plus one to the premiere of Margin Call at West End Vue. Water and popcorn on seats and all the seats were reserved except the front row or the seats running down the sides, so we sat bang in the middle of the front row! All the VIP's went off to the free bar and I had a sandwich in the screening room. :D Then chatted to the brother who worked for the film distribution company and who came out to introduced the film.

What a brilliant film. Really enjoyed this. I was gripped and engrossed. Being in the same sort of situation twice, I thought it was so realistic, so well performed, well cast and great script. No bad or good guys, it affects everyone. I saw an interview with the director and writer J C Chandor, last night on BBC2 Newsnight with Kirsty Wark, his father worked at Merrill Lynch for 30 years. No wonder it was so realistic.

An added bonus, when the film ended, was we were told to stay in our seats as there would be a Q&A with Jeremy Irons and Paul Bettany! But I would had rather it was Kevin Spacey and especially Simon Baker *swoons*. On the way out, I asked Paul for a photo and he says "yeah, sure!". A perfect end to a great evening!

Very impressed with this. Great cast and very well acted. I agree with the other forum members who pointed out that this film is very dialogue driven and could have worked well as a play. I just found this method of story telling via a film (with Hollywood stars) to be quite refreshing.

I kept on expecting someone
to be suddenly assassinated at certain points. I had a silent bet with myself on who Paul Bettany was going to throw off the roof first - I was hoping it would be Penn Badgley. And come on, I bet you all thought Stanley Tucci's character was was going to be bumped off at any moment :D )
Sad to say, I have become expectant of certain 'ingredients' to make a 'good' hollywood drama / thriller. I eagerly anticipate the next explosion / murder / train wreck / car crash to add a touch a 'bad news reality' to any intriguing plot. But thankfully this took a different approach and it felt like a real, real life drama. You can imagine that is how it happened. It became clear that this financial 'mafia' have their own ways of clearing up their mess although these 'solutions' potentially still have devastating consequences.

I liked the way we moved up the levels of management and the insight into the kind of money these guys were earning and effectively gambling with (the greed is astonishing).

I thought Kevin Spacey was superb and it was nice to see Demi Moore on screen again. Can't say I was too keen on the ending though, so it loses marks for me there. 7.5/10.

prettyxcool, you are always ready with your camera. Great thinking! You must have a collection of great pictures with famous actors by now.

One of the most tense boardroom thriller's in history. Money turned into poetry.
