Re: The Muppets
Does anyone know the actual running time? Is it 103 minutes as per IMDB? I see that MG posted at 12.27, which makes me think it's a little shorter.... planning the aftermath and need to know if I can get somewhere nearby by 1230...?

Re: The Muppets
thought it was a bit too cheesy for me and as not a child of the 80's perhaps missed a lot too. liked Mickey Rooney's cameo and Jack Black too.
happy went to see it , I think, when I asked friends wee boy if he has said rubbish he said nooooooooo thought it was quite good, but he seemed to like it more than Puss in Boots which I preferred.
Perhaps like me he liked Toy Story short story better.
5.5/10 so just a plus from me

Re: The Muppets
Kingston are screening pa*d previews of the Muppets on Sunday morning... at the same time as they are screening the Disney free one.... and the pa*d screening does not alow particular seats to be booked?
Could be some pissed off people tommorrow who p*y for what they could have seen free....and they might be sitting next to you!

Don't think the Kingston pa*d preview is in the same screen as the free one, you can reserve the premier seats.

Re: The Muppets
I was expecting more from this film. It was too cheesy, and the lead characters were a bit annoying. But I enjoyed the muppets and the cameos, as well as the short Toy Story movie. I couldn't stop singing "Mahnamahna" when I left the cinema.

Re: The Muppets
I was a bit disappointed to be honest, the film for me didn't really live up to the hype, the appearances of Miss Piggy & Kermit on the chat circuit have been far more entertaining and funny than most of the film. The pace was quite slow and I found I was just always waiting for the Muppets to actually perform and be funny and it never really happened. A lot of the music was quite depressing too, although I like the party for one song.
However, I knew my little 3 year old niece had enjoyed it, she was sitting on my knee throughout and was giggling and dancing to all the songs, she even clapped at the end of Walter's performance. My 2 a bit older sat throughout very quietly, didn't really hear any laughs so wasn't sure if they had enjoyed it but they said they did and are quite keen to see it again tomorrow (me not so much) so we'll see what happens with this snow that's starting to come down. I'm still looking forward to watching This Morning (ITV1) on Monday to see the Muppets take over as hosts for the day.
Was nice to be able to say a hello to a few more FMUKer's today, I know where to find you all now!

Re: The Muppets
Seen this at Greenwich. Nice to have seen valda, canadian_turtle and beate and John! Lovely to have met raineylb, weirdy and the famous octopus!
I thought the film was great though quite slow at the beginning. 2 people left left 20 minutes in
.
It was quite a nostalgic film as I was recognizing all the characters. A bit too much singing but thoroughly enjoyable so 7/10

They were carrying a child and the man looked visibly annoyed so it might have been the child's been playing up?tilly wrote:Seen this at Greenwich. Nice to have seen valda, canadian_turtle and beate and John! Lovely to have met raineylb, weirdy and the famous octopus!
