I did hear the latecomers, pxc but as they stood behind me and not in front of me, I wasn't so inconvenienced as you were. And again they were quite a ways behind over from me so their noise didn't bother me. I did tell the boys in front of you to switch off their phones at the start and to their credit they did. All in all I thought the audience was OK and surely lots better than what Beate and others had to put up with at O2.

So what is it with the 3D? Didn't make any difference to me.

It's funny you saying this as I really do think part of it depends on how good your eyesight is. For me 3D is about the picture being clearly and standing out more, more like HD. And I do feel films miss out on tricks and cheat the customers a bit when they don't utilise this and get things "coming out" from the screen.

I think I do have poor eyesight, especially in the dark! I feel 3D should make the film sharper, with more depth so you feel like you are almost in the film, and having things almost in front of me, as you say "coming out" of the screen. Compare it to Hugo, the 3D was brilliant and it was visually stunning, and not darker like most 3Ds. LOL

There really seem to be different qualities of 3D out there. Having seen Beauty and the Beast in 3D yesterday and The Lorax in 3D today, the former did not impress me at all whereas the latter did have good 3D usage, probably because it was done with 3D in mind, although that not always means it will be a success. Hugo was very good in 3D too but usually it doesn't do much for me and I am annoyed that my Picturehouse only has one 2D showing of Avengers Assemble a day while all the others are in 3D I don't want to p*y extra for.

Yes, it was a lot better than at the 02, although I must remind myself not to sit at the end of that row, almost opposite the door, as kept getting glimpses of light as people came in late or tried to come in but didn't (probably going to wrong screening!), and one father left early with his child, most probably took him to the toilet and did not return! Yes, I definitely should not sit in that seat, as very disruptive to my line of vision!

Saw this in Edinburgh yesterday, pretty full and the cinema usher was checking seats which was good.

Lovely Saturday morning film and the kids loved it.

The feature tangled was an added bonus.

Lots of happy faces leaving the cinema. You can never get enough of a good disney film but not quite sure the 3d effects really added a great deal to it. That said great to see a good family film back in the pictures!!

Oh I think you all missed the point.

The 3d to me seems to make the characters pop out of story book background. The effect of the 3D was the depth of the vision and not the peck-popping rubbish you see in Journey 2. That said I agree some of the animation was a bit choppy, alsmost like the frame rate of the 3D could not keep up.

And yes Tangled Ever After was lots of fun, that horse is star!

I don't know why this film gets a free pass. It's just not very good (speaking as someone who often enjoys children's films) and pairing it with Tangled Ever After just highlights the fact.

I didnt enjoy B and B. It wasnt as painful as I thought it would be, but I still fail to understand how people in my generation think so highly of shitty long outdated Disney cartoons (Aladdin, TLK and a few exceptions apart, which are ok not great). I have to go way back to being five years old to remember liking Disney*(and that was the even crappier 'Petes Dragon', perhaps I like dit because it had a dragon and was a 'crossover' animation), but generally even then I remember hating much Disney animation.

In a way, I am chuffed this view, one of my views as a kid, is still one I hold today and will probably carry to my grave lol. Tangled rocks though, forever.

I hadn't seen it before the weekend. It's ok for what it is but yes, it really isn't comparable to for example the Jungle Book whose songs are so catchy that I could break into one of them right now (in 2 languages), and Aristocats, which is one of my all-time favourites.

i'd agree the Jungle Book is pretty awesome. There is good Disney, its just very scarce for me.
