I hated The Grinch, The Cat in the Hat and Horton...my 4 year old wasn't overly enamoured by the former 2 either. It's a shame because the books are hugely charming.
I saw The Lorax back in April, it is nothing like The Grinch or The Cat in the Hat at all, not just because of the animation but the whole way the story is told, it's style is quite different to Horton too I thought.

Both myself and the children are really looking forward to seeing it again, there is a real message behind the film which wasn't lost on the kids and the characters often break out into song, which some liked more than others.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Just managed to get four tickets for this for the o2 next week. Very much looking forward to it, as is my little three year old! She's never been to the cinema before so just hope she can sit through it!

I can't imagine how they could've gotten that any more right.
If it's any consolation, Horton is my least disliked of the bunch...but I do find it obnoxiously loud and busy to the extent that it becomes grating to watch after 30 minutes or so.

I think I may be a tad OVER fussy when it comes to childrens films mind.

It seems The Lorax premiere will be in Birmingham on 22nd July - I wonder if that's to steer clear of the Olympics.

But isn't the Olympics start date the 27th of July?

Well, tastecard have just announced that a lot of Pizza Express restaurants will not allow you to use the card during the Games "from 21 July - 31 August" so not entirely out of the question.

The opening ceremony is 27th July but there will be thousands of people flying in on the days/weeks before then so London will be even busier than usual.

Did NO ONE go to see this, this morning? 8O

I enjoyed it a second time round, only thing that annoyed me was a woman who came in at the last second with a kid, and persisted to moan that there were no booster seats(shouldnt have turned up late to a KID'S film then should you? or atleast brough her own as im sure her car would have one as its law now)
Anyway, there were none left at all, so she walked around the screening intimidating other parents to give up their booster seats but to no avail.
Film started.

BUT SHE CAN'T SEE, THIS IS RIDUCLOUS, SHE CANT SEE.
SHE WONT BEHAVE IF SHE CANT SEE.
she kept yelling a few minutes into the movie.
In the end a woman 2 rows in front said sorry love but youll have to sit on my lap to her kid, and practically threw the booster seat at her(loud bang) and said now shut the hell up!

In the end, her kid still misbehaved...idiot.
