Have a fantastic day "Dahn the Smoke" Diane. That menu you posted up the other day looked great. There was certainly some really appetising looking, albeit not overly low in calorie, meals on there. Don't be too hard on yourself though when making your choice - get something you really want. It's silly not to push the boat out on occasions when you get the chance. It's only one meal after all, and you can always claw back a little over-indulgence later on in the week.
I was really hoping that you were going to let your neighbour join you for your walk (well, at least once). You never know, she may be able to keep up with you, and I always think it's better to have someone to share your exercise sessions with especially if they are a nice person and good company.
Now,

I'm sure that some of you ladies will appreciate the benefits and beauty of a well-trimmed bush. What...?
If you work for the Health and Safety Executive look away now
I spent 9 hours in the garden yesterday with an electric hedge trimmer with both of the safety switches tied so that it was permanently running, controlled only by plugging it into and out of the mains extension lead.

I fastened the machine to the end of a washing line prop and waved the whole unwieldy thing around to reach up to the top of our high hedges to do some serious pruning without actually leaving the ground. I hate working up ladders with cutting equipment. It must have been fantastic exercise, because my arms and shoulders ache tremendously this morning. I'll be going out later on this morning to pick up all of the clippings and transport them to the tip in 2 or 3 builders bags.
I had loads of indiscretions food-wise yesterday including but not limited to a packet of cheese and onion crisps, a small 50gm packet of wasabi encrusted peanut snacks (fantastic), and 2 x two fingered KitKat biscuits.

This was partially due to the fact that I wanted to press on with the work and not stop to make meals. Anyhow, fearing the worst, I got weighed this morning and astonishingly I'm back down to the weight I was last week before I put the 3lbs on

. So how cool is that? Conclusive proof that the "KitKat Diet" really works!
....And, I'm hoping you will take heart from hearing my tale Biggins....sometimes it's a tremendously up and down journey seemingly without any sense or rhyme and reason to it. Don't worry though you've maintained your weight which is good, and I'm sure the scales will be kinder to you next week. I'm convinced that we will all reach our goals if we keep on going with them.
I'm going to try and eat some better salady type stuff today. Taking the family out at lunchtime to local NT property for a picnic and a bit of a walk about today. I'm also hoping to make a big batch of vegetable curry later on with the intention of freezing some of it.
Have we heard from ClareBarr recently? Hope everything is OK with her!
Have fun everyone and keep an eye on those calories!
