guy pearce...now he would have rocked as batman...too old ?

an actor with more ability than to put on / shed weight. sorry to bale, but its true.

ps has anyone been able to get over hearing that bale rant, where he threatens some lowly underling who has had the nerve to walk past the great actor ? never forget / never forgive
Have you ever been on a film set?

If you'd been on a set as cast or crew then you'd know exactly how stressful things are. Having to do a take over and over because some numpty is doing their own thing/trying to stand out or just not listening gets everyone grumpy. Some directors and actors are nicer than others but at the end of the day, filming costs lots of money, and the extra time it takes to get something right is time wasted usually on a very tight schedule. You get told pretty quickly if you're not doing exactly what is needed. I've never been shouted at but I have seen it happen on film sets and tv/ad sets. It happens and Bale is not the first or last person to do this.

never said he was.

"There's that famous, but likely apocryphal, story about Laurence Olivier and Dustin Hoffman when they were working together on Marathon Man. To prepare for a scene, Hoffman had gone for a few days without sleep and looked pretty rough. Olivier asked him why he was putting himself through such an ordeal and Hoffman replied that he was trying to be convincing in the role. Olivier replied, "Try acting dear boy"."

actors, as much as i like / admire some, are well pa*d for play acting, making believe, call it what you want. it's not an excuse for bad behaviour.

Having worked on sets, this really wasn't that bad. You might be surprised at how people you admire/ like act when filming ;) Crew and extras are 'underlings' to the talent and director and as long as everyone does their job things are usually good fun but they take no prisoners if you step out of line. If the crew member in Bale-gate had been an extra he'd have been escorted off set after the first mistake.

i do not doubt or question your experience.

personally i could not abide toadying around the "important" folk.

guess thats why i'm self employed.

costs nothing to be nice :)

ps wasn't the rant during filming for terminator salvation....that worked out well, lol.

pps bale has a well documented history of being an ass to all sorts of people. only reason i sat through red carpet coverage was the off chance he might chin alex zane.

Ten killed in Denver movie shooting: local radio

(Reuters) - A masked gunman shot dead 10 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a showing of new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" at a movie theater in the U.S. city of Denver, local radio station KOA reported on Friday, citing witnesses.

The radio station said a figure in a gas mask had opened fire at the showing in a mall in the suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb. It said initial police estimates were of 30-40 injured.
