Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Really depressing, it's time to celebrate a great film, but we are talking about deaths everytime a Batman film opens

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
a terrible, terrible tragedy. I hope that animal gets put away for life, death would be a too easy way out.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Would rather have seen Alex Zane that an blank screen for over an hour! Took my +1 to the razamatazz that is a (regional) premiere only to have it so flat with nothing going on whatsoever for an hour before the film. I actually felt embarrassd. At least movie more than made up for it.moggers wrote:I'd have pa*d to see him chin Alex Zane

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES was fricking EPIC.
Question: Which did you like better? The Dark Knight or The Dark Knight Rises.
I'm going with the latter. Enjoyed it more. Bigger scale.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I emailed Sky re the blank screens and was told that some cinemas don't have the capability of the link.stuartboy wrote:Would rather have seen Alex Zane that an blank screen for over an hour! I asked then why no notices were put up at the cinemas or announced in the screening when the ticket clearly stated that there would be the red carpet video link! No answer to that!

(Reuters) - A masked gunman shot dead 10 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a showing of new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" at a movie theater in the U.S. city of Denver, local radio station KOA reported on Friday, citing witnesses.
The radio station said a figure in a gas mask had opened fire at the showing in a mall in the suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb. It said initial police estimates were of 30-40 injured.

In 2007 the UK had 51 firearm related homicides, the US had 12,632!. That is 20 times as many deaths per head of population.
The UK has strict gun control, the US still has a wild west mentality. These tragedies will only reduce when the US stops trying to blame everything on terrorism and starts facing up to its own failings.
