Thanks for the lovely comments though! o/ :D
Hiya hon. Dead proud of ya for doing so well. :bighug: I've been catching up and I've started copying your weetabix, blueberries, raspberries n skimmed milk brekkie instead of doing my usual coffee n run-out-the-door ritual! o/
Thank you from me too o/

Menu of the day:
Special K with strawberries and a black coffee (350 calories)
Banana on spelt bread followed by chocolate mousse and fresh raspberries (430 calories)
Weight Watchers piri piri chicken followed by a doughnut peach (420 calories)

I keep on having calories left over each day and I'm just eating things for the sake of it to make up calories so I'm seeing if larger meals work out better as I don't want to go less than 1200 calories as I exercise 6 days a week and I don't want the dreaded loose skin :noo: I cannot have healthy snacks in between meals as in a clinic.

Exercise of the day:
A 4 mile walk providing I get through the Olympic traffic (football at Old Trafford) on the way home from the cinema :cross:

I was restrained at the restaurant last night I had 1 slice of brushetta (my favourite), penne arrabiata (which I couldn't finish) and a black coffee - I wasn't really being restrained I was just stuffed as if I still had space I would have polished it off

Enjoy your ride Preston1990 and Biggins I'm impressed with all that swimming - I'm just a rubbish swimmer.

Have fun everyone o/

I am impressed that you managed to restrain yourself at the restaurant yesterday Diane as the menu looked fabulous.

Had a good long walk round the city centre yesterday afternoon as it was a lovely day and there is plenty going on now that the tourists are here for the Edinburgh Festival in August. Lots of street entertainers up the High street and the Mound to amuse the passers by.

Well I had granola, semi milk and six strawberries and cup of tea this morning. Lunch today is (whisper it in case sunnysaver hears and she'll get jealous ;) ) at the Mussel Inn in Rose Street where I will have -- Mussels!!

Going to the cinema this evening so will have a sandwich before I go and a couple of crispbreads and cup of tea when I get home.

Enjoy your day everyone.

I'm not long back from my cycle ride and I'm feeling very good. :D

:shifty: Now between you and me :shifty:, I was a little nervous about today's ride. I thought that me and my trusty 30 odd year old (and second hand when I acquired it for around £25) steed may have been completely outclassed in the performance stakes by my mate on his new super-expensive (circa £1000 8O ) all singing and dancing, loaded with all the latest hydraulic technology known to man, piece of kit.

I had visions of struggling to keep up with him and being left miles behind in his dust. Well I'm pleased, and quite relieved, to be able to share this with you my fellow FMUKers..... But it was quite the reverse - I had to keep waiting for him to catch up! 8O

Oh Yes - There is a God! and today he was smiling down on me and my ancient boneshaker of a bike! ;)

I'm not sure exactly how many miles we did today yet, I'll need to plot my route out using "Mapmyride", but at the moment I'm estimating in excess of 22 miles. And the best bit? When we got back to where we had parked our cars - I said "let's go along the cycling track the other way - it's only about another 4 miles from here up to town x - we should go and see what it's like up there!"

My mate's reply? - basically - "I've had enough, I'm absolutely knackered and I'm off home, now!"
:jawdrop:

Now, I'm seriously really not in the slightest bit competitive usually - but I must admit to a having just the teensiest feeling of "Schadenfreude" at this.

As he drove off, having carefully loaded his flashy new bike into the back of his estate car. I jumped back on my old wreck of a bike and set off for town x, feeling relatively fresh, fighting back the feelings of smugness and thinking about what I could do with the grand, which I had "saved"!

Am I a bad person?

Today's Meals:

Lots of water to keep hydrated - This is important to us athletes! :shifty: ;) :D

1) Two Weetabix, semi skimmed milk, fresh raspberries. Black coffee.

2) A seriously large and inappropriate "all day" full english breakfast with toast and coffee (see my last week's post for more details). I'm starting to think that it's called "all day" because that's about how long it takes to eat it!

3) Maybe a light salad.

4) Earl Grey Tea, lemon slice, toast, marmite scraping.

Sydney - lovely to hear from you again! What have you been up to lately? - I used to love reading your posts (they were always so funny!) but can't recall seeing any for ages. Oh yes ....and perhaps you'd like to share your special lemon "recipe" with Diane! She's always on the lookout for new things to do with ingredients! :D

No just driven - its the adrenaline that you athletes have and all that testosterone than has turned you from a beta male into the alpha variety ;)

Cheeky :nono: that's to Preston and it is lovely to hear from the lovely Sydney_Bristow :D

Hope you enjoyed your mussels Biggins, you made me smile counting out your strawberries - I do that and akh43 has a variety of counted out things she has for breakfast. Good luck with your weigh in in the morning o/

Had a lovely lunch thanks Diane. Mussels in a blue cheese sauce and a bowl of chips.

Had a ham roll before the cinema tonight so hope will not regret the lunch when I weigh myself tomorrow morning. :cross:

How is Chris Hoy this evening!! Bet your thighs will be as good as Chris's soon Preston with all that cycling. You are becoming very competative. Do you think your friend will go out cycling with you ever again?

Have a good night's rest everyone.

Your lunch sounds fabulous Biggins :D

Menu of the day:
Special K with strawberries and a black coffee (330 calories)
Ainsley Harriet cup a soup with a slice of spelt bread, 2 kiwis and a doughnut peach (350 calories)
Weight Watchers Thai curry (330 calories) Weight Watchers apricot yoghurt (50 calories)
Saving 140 calories for the theatre tonight for nibbles - akh43 has kindly invited me to watch Briefs at the Lowry tonight o/ :D

I'm working until 6 and then heading off at about 7 so I was well behaved and set my alarm for 5.15am and have done my DVD which takes an hour already; I must admit I didn't want to get up but after 10 mins I was so happy that I did and now I'm full of energy for the day ahead o/

I was doing my brisk walk last night and I actually overtook a jogger - I must admit I did bad especially as he was about 10 years younger than me.

Have a fun day everyone o/

Well I stood on the scales this morning and I haven't lost a lb this week --- I have lost 2lbs!!! :D :D

Guess all the walking and swimming pa*d off this week. It was much more enjoyable to swim in the outdoor pool and go for a long walk this past week when the weather has been good.

Looks as if it will be a dry day again today so going out for another walk after I have done all the housework.

Enjoy your night at the theatre Diane.
