I actually did believe that you made it

Its treat day today :cheer:

Menu of the day:
All bran and a banana with a black coffee (350 calories)
4 Ryvita with cottage cheese and pineapple followed by a clementine and a kiwi (300 calories)
Out for coffee and cakes tonight with my friend (it was her birthday last week so its an extra birthday treat - any excuse will do) hence a large slice of cake and a black coffee (somewhere between 700 and 800 calories - I have no idea really so this is a made up figure). I am now always to stuffed to eat a meal as well so don't have dinner

Exercise of the day will be a brisk 4 mile walk (fartlek style as 2 miles to the coffee place and 2 miles back).

Good luck Preston and have a good day everyone else. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else has planned for the day :D

I hoped that you might at first ;) - that's why I put the "time saving tip" link in there. :P

Good luck for today - better get weighed before you indulge yourself with that gigantic slab of cake. :D

Thank you so much and I took your advice and had a slice of the most delicious Danish Othello cake (Othello Cake ~ Our vanilla cake batter is gently tempered with macaroon dough for depth. Covered in chocolate ganache and bordered with rolled marzipan. A fruit-&-cream garnish echoes the layers of Bavarian cream and raspberry jam inside) It is pure heaven o/
The outdoor pool sounds wonderful I am really impressed with you o/

Well my "good news" is that when I got weighed this morning I had lost another pound o/ Sorry I didn't have a chance to post it then as I was running late for meeting up with my two cycling pals.

Anyhow I got to our planned rendevous so late that they thought I wasn't coming and had set off without me 8O

I was kind of disappointed because today was the day that we were going to try and do 50 miles for the first time but we hadn't actually finalised where we where going to go exactly. So I couldn't even try and catch them up!

So today I have spent eight 8O hours in the saddle by myself  :( trying to rack up some miles. I've no idea yet how many I've done and whether I've hit the 50 mile mark or not - I'll need to use Diane's Mapmywalk equivalent website for bikes Mapmyride to plot my route on later to find out whether I've done it or not. So watch this space!

Which brings me on to my "better news".........

When I got back home - I got weighed again 8O ...........I'd lost another pound since getting weighed this morning. Now I know that some of you purists may be confronted by this - but I'm having it ;)

No, I don't care what you say - it's my weigh day today and that's what I weigh, so there! - end of!!

So it's a two pound loss for me this week and I'm chuffed! o/

On another issue, Your cake sounds great Diane........And, I do so think that it is important to reward yourself (as a treat ;) ) once in a while :shifty:

Which neatly brings me to my lunch!

 I honestly did ask the cafe lady for a jacket potato and salad.

"Sorry Love" she says "We only do lunches till 2 O'clock"

This is what I ended up with - That's a desert spoon on the table - not a teaspoon - just so you have an idea of scale. :D

I was relieved to hear that it was carrot cake! - MrG is always telling us to eat more vegetables - so a good choice I'd say!! o/ 8-)

Well done Preston1990 on your 2lb weight loss that is brilliant o/
8 hours in the saddle 8O that is frigging amazing :cheer:

As for the cake that is one mega cake mine in contrast which I thought was big is a sliver in comparison http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/ ... adilly.jpg (found this on trip advisor but its the right restaurant and the correct cake and size)

Thank you so much anakin for your constant support and I do feel so much better for having lost it - I still have generous thighs but I guess that's just me and specific exercises may work on them.
