Re: Kick-Ass
I am sooooooooo disappointed. I waited for a long time (arrived there at 6:05!) for my bf who was convinced that the haymarket cineworld was the apollo and was waiting there for me. I thought he was running late and vice versa. Eventually, it became too late to get in. There was a long queue and they were turning people away (who showed up after 18:20-18:25).
I hope you guys had a good time watching the film.

Re: Kick-Ass
I just saw this at a very packed haymarket cinema! I thought the film was quite good funny in parts. I'm very surprised how bloody and violent it was especially for a 15. Love the character hit girl, brilliant for an 11 year old. Overall 8/10 from me and the oh

Re: Kick-Ass
Oh really they were turning people away? There were still quite a few number of seats at the front...
As for the film, there is like the few times I am actually wondering if I should bother write anything, because I was clearly watching a different film from everyone else...
Yes, the audience laughed and clapped alot and it was clearly awesome to 99% of the audience...
Sadly I was one superhero who thought the film was more dumbass than kickass. I know everyone is going to rate this film highly, I just thought it's not as clever or postmodern as it thinks it is... Honestly with this kind of storyline, I rather watch Leon the Professional.
I think last time I watched a film where I didn't have a clue why the audience laughed so much was Superbad and yes the same guy is in both film....
Oh well, I am sorry to the 99% who loved the film and will rave about it, but it's definitely 3/10 for me....and the 3 is because it's a "superhero" film
